Iron Bloom 26 is over !

Well done to all participants for an awesome day of fencing and (controlled) mayhem.

With 28 fencers attending the average matches per fencer were 10-15 fights plus an extra 5 to 8 fights in rapier, per fencer.

Before we get to the placement, we would like to give a big shout out to all the help we have received on the day, all scoring, marshalling, flagging, and overall support that has been given to us and without which none of this would have been feasible. So without any more wait, we would like to congratulate:

Couple of medium intensity exchanges using Sword and Buckler.

You can see the technic level going up as the video unravel, body and mind slowly warming up to the weapon set.
(It was also one of Solomon's first attempt at Hungarian shield!)

Some of you already know, we got our Australian representative gone aaaallll the way fighting in Europe to HLSO for a 3 days event... (Very prestigious tournament we may add)

⚔️IRON BLOOM IS BACK⚔️

Aiginskalk is excited to announce the return of Iron Bloom in 2026 as a Tier B HEMA tournament.

On Saturday 11 April, fencers with a rating of 1350 or below are invited to take part in a one-day competitive event, Longsword followed by Rapier.

Iron Bloom is designed to give developing competitors a solid, meaningful tournament experience, offering the chance to test your skills against similarly ranked fencers in a competitive environment.

Also we got some sweet tees as always 👌

Games, swords, food and good company.

Aiginskalk wanted to celebrate all its members last weekend! We rented out a whole space for games and swords, and everyone seems to have left with a smile on their faces!

The club would not exist without you all.
Thanks for being part of this swords family and giving the club purpose.
