Hi everyone! This page has been quiet for a while as I had to have hernia repair surgery a couple of months ago and it's been a bit of a slow recovery. Mentally fine but physically have not been able to get back into being as active as I used to be and it's been driving me crazy 😜 So anyway here I am!
I just wanted to share with you all (thanks to a friend of mine who had recent fantastic success with losing weight) a lady called Deborah Murtagh's program. I have been following her eating plan for just over three weeks and have lost nearly 3 kilos, and that is with no exercise! Another friend of mine has lost 4 kilos in the same amount of time. I haven't really had to change what I am eating that much, just eliminate a lot of carbs. Her eating plan is based on Keto but it is not as strict, and there is not as much fat included as they say to eat on Keto. As far as carbs are concerned you can still eat fruit twice a day and also sweet potato is included. I made the commitment to stick with it for a month just to see how I would go, as I've struggled with losing a few kilos for quite a few years now. It felt like everything I tried didn't work. If you are interested take a look at her Facebook and website and also she does some great youtube videos. I really didn't think I could give up bread, pasta and potatoes for a month but then I thought it's only a month, just do it! I am actually amazed at how I don't really miss them. My biggest thing was how would I go without a glass of wine now and then - but to be totally honest, I've still had some on occasion and there have been days where I have deviated from the food plan as life gets in the way sometimes and it is just not possible to eat what you are supposed to, and I've still had great success. Anyway sorry didn't mean this to be a long post but I really wanted to just share this information as I feel great and hoped that it might help others :-) I am not an expert on the subject as I've only been following this eating plan for a few weeks now, but I'm happy to answer any questions if you have any.
