Wallaroo Mines Bowling Club ( The Mines ) Bowls Club Twenty eight (28) people attended. As a result of this meeting the Wallaroo Mines Bowling Club was formed. A further extension on the South in 1996-97.

History of the Mines
The inaugural meeting of the Wallaroo Mines Bowling Club was held in the Wallaroo Mines insttute on the evening of Monday 15th November 1915. The first game between the Wallaroo Mines & Kadina Clubs were played in 1917. Kapunda Bowling Club visited and played matches againt the mines in the same season The minutes show that the MInes had marked success .

1923 saw the introd

uction of a three way series between Wallaroo Mines Kadina and Wallaroo Mt Lyell Clubs. Membership was down to 23 during this season, so it was decided to lease the South green to the Kadina tennis Club, which they retained until 1926. The South green was then leased to the Wallaroo Mines Croquet Club who held the lease until 1980 when they found it impossible to continue owing to lack of members. On Saturday 18th October 1930 a fire totally destroyed the clubhouse and at a committee meeting held on the 30th october 1930 tenders were called for to re-build the Club. Mr Frank Spry was the successful applicant with a quote of Seventy Five Pounds ($150). This money was raised by forming a syndicate of shareholders (members only) of 100 shares at one pound each. The Ladies Bowling Club was formed in 1958 with a memership of 18. The present day Clubhouse was built in 1966, an extension on the West end was added in 1974, and the extension on the East end in 1985-86. The South green which had been leased to the Croquet from 1926 until 1980 was returned to the club and the cub decided to rip out the old green and replace it with a new Santa Anna green. After much work and at a cost of $13,000 the then Mayor of Kadina (Mr Dale Morphett) opened the new green on Sunday 3rd January 1982
