🛟 Safety Week – Home Edition Complete! 🛟

This week our swimmers put their survival skills into action by learning how everyday household items can be used to help someone in need.

They practised:
✅ Using items such as buckets and floating objects to assist someone safely
✅ Using ropes, towels and jumpers to reach someone from a safe distance
✅ Calling loudly for help
✅ Raising one hand high to attract attention
✅ Understanding the importance of helping without entering the water

A fantastic effort from all our swimmers who showed great confidence, awareness and problem-solving skills throughout the lesson.

Water safety starts at home, and we’re proud of the valuable skills our students continue to develop each week. 💙🛟

A short break over Winter can have a bigger impact than many parents expect 💦

Royal Life Saving Australia data from 2021-2022, shows 17 children aged 0–4 drowned in a 12-month period, a reminder that water risks don’t take a season off.

Ongoing swimming lessons help children keep building confidence, safety awareness, and essential survival skills ready for whenever they’re in or around water.

At JUMP! Swim Schools, we teach water safety in a fun, supportive environment so kids learn and maintain skills that they can tap into with confidence when needed.

At JUMP! Swim Schools, we're passionate about educating and supporting parents and families with year-round water safety education both in and out of the pool – It's a big part of what we do!

This Winter, take 5 minutes to do a quick home water safety check. Look for:
💧 Buckets with water
💧 Unsupervised bathtubs
💧 Garden ponds or water features
💧 Eskies with melted ice
💧 Pet water bowls within reach

Even shallow water can pose a risk to little ones.

Our Stingrays are no longer learning the basics — they’re refining technique, building endurance, mastering breathing patterns, and developing the strength and confidence needed to swim efficiently over longer distances.

This level is where strong swimmers become exceptional swimmers.
