A strong, gusty south-westerly wind deterred sailors from racing on Saturday 18th April. Jan and Gabriel were tutored by Tony on the club's Pacer; it was a perfect wind to practice sheeting and steering for balance.
Hold the sheet near your chest, straighten the arm when a gust hits, bend the arm and pull it back once it's past. Keep the boat flat.

Hi, I'm Kate! My family has recently moved to the Far South Coast and are now based in Wallagoot.
I’ve been teaching and practising yoga for over 20 years, and it’s been a constant through a lot of different seasons of life. It’s something I value deeply and enjoy sharing in a way that feels practical and accessible.
Spending time down at Wallagoot Lake, it feels like an obvious place to bring people together. The setting speaks for itself.
I’m looking at running yoga by the lake on Saturday mornings, with classes held at the Wallagoot Lake Boat Club.
