I was working as a Sous Chef in a successful Italian Restaurant and spendin

g my spare time keeping fit at my local gym. It wasn’t until my friend, also a chef, approached me to help him start up at the gym and lose weight. I didn’t know it at the time, but that moment was where my journey into Personal Training began. Watching as he got fitter, stronger and more confident, really opened my eyes to new possibilities and ignited my passion for helping people on their health and fitness journey’s. It wasn’t long after that, that I decided to pursue a new career in Personal Training. Whilst continuing to be a Chef and studying part-time, the idea of Orange Movement came about. In 2012 I finished studying and commenced Personal Training as a full time career. Now 9 years later my dream to bring together my extensive knowledge from being a Trainer and a Chef has become a reality. At Orange Movement not only do I run tailored training sessions and programs, I am able to provide valuable advice, samples ;-) and recipes for healthy and convenient food, and help you develop habits that will complement your training. Training the Newton Jags Premier League netball team and looking back on moments like these reminds me that team sport gives so much more than just fitness.

Of course you get the physical benefits — strength, fitness, speed and conditioning — but some of the biggest wins happen away from the scoreboard. Team sport builds connection, accountability, confidence and gives you people around you who push you on the hard days.

Sometimes the hardest part of training isn’t the workout… it’s making the decision to start.

No trainer, friend or program can want it more than you do. The real change happens when you decide it’s time to move, improve and take control of your health.

That’s when support actually means something.
That’s when guidance works.
That’s when results start building.

My role isn’t to drag people through it — it’s to support, guide and help bring out the best version of the person who’s already made the choice to begin. 👊

Running with someone changes everything.

You push a little harder, talk a little more, and somehow the kilometres feel a little easier. Whether it’s with a friend, partner, family member or trainer — training together can improve consistency, motivation and confidence while making exercise more enjoyable too.

A lot of my clients enjoy adding walks, jogs or interval running into their sessions, and I’m always happy to tailor training to suit fitness levels and goals. Sometimes having someone beside you is the difference between staying home and getting it done 👊
