On Sunday we celebrated our Annual Junior Christmas Party.

Thank you to all of the Junior Walkerston Cricket Club players and families who were able to attend.
There were over 100 in attendance which was wonderful to see.

We wish to thank Walkerston Country Meats and Seafood and Glen Kelly MP Member for Mirani for their contributions this year.

Masters Blasters Update: Wednesday 29th October 2025

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the Mackay area, with potential for large hailstones, damaging winds, and heavy rainfall across parts of the Central Coast and Whitsundays, Capricornia, and Central Highlands and Coalfields districts.

Severe thunderstorms are developing in a moist, unstable airmass and are expected to move towards the coast over the next few hours.

To ensure the safety of our players, parents, and coaches, Mackay Cricket Association has made the decision to cancel this afternoon’s Masters Blasters competition.

🏏 Junior and Master Blaster Cricket Registrations Are Now OPEN! 🏏

𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗔𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝟱–𝟳)
Starting 6th October - running for 6 weeks
· Over in a flash – 60 minutes of fun each session in a safe and inclusive environment
· Make pals, catch skills, throw like a boss, and teamwork like a pro!
· Kids will be able to rock the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes with their own Cricket Blast pack
· All equipment supplied

𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗔𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝟳–𝟭𝟬)
Starting 15th October - running for 8 weeks
· 90 Minutes of fast-paced modified cricket games
· Recommended for kids aged 7-10 · For kids with basic cricket skills
· Every kid gets a chance to bat, bowl and field.

Did your game get rained out today? Or are you looking for a bit of fun for this dark looking day?

Join us at the Scrubby home grounds, McLennan Park, TODAY for the Pink Stumps Day - 3rd Grade Game & Family Fun Day! and annual Scrubby 'C**k Fight'!

It might be damp, but it hasn't dampened their spirits or enthusiasm to not only have a great game of cricket, but also to have a whole lot of fun while they're at it! (There's rumors of pink tutus and wigs...)

Don't forget the canteen and bar are open, sausages will be sizzling, pink treats on sale and FACE PAINTING too!
Come and support the club as well as families affected by cancer (The McGrath Foundation) and have a great day out at the same time. Bring some loose change to join in some of the fundraising fun too!
