🏉 A Great Night of Hexagon Rugby at MTO! 🏉

What a fantastic night of rugby, friendship and camaraderie at MTO last night. A huge thanks to all players, clubs, supporters and volunteers who joined us for a memorable evening.

The Hornsby Golden Oldies - Busted Lions turned out in great numbers, and it was terrific to welcome several new faces alongside many of our long-standing stalwarts. We hope you all enjoyed the night and look forward to seeing you back in the jersey for more games this season.

A big thank you to the Hills "Widowmakers" Over 35s Rugby for making the trip and joining us. Together we played some classic "champagne rugby" in great spirits, with plenty of smiles, laughs and a few creaking hamstrings along the way.

Special thanks to Mick, Rowie, Greg and Carina for their outstanding work behind the scenes running the BBQ and bar, and to our Junior and Senior Club Presidents, Phil and Tim, for their continued support of the Golden Oldies programme.

As always, it was difficult to pick the night's Worst and Dirtiest award winner, but after much deliberation, Phil took home the honours thanks to his "solid" defensive efforts! 🍻

We're already looking forward to our upcoming fixtures, including Back to Hornsby Day in July and our next Golden Oldies home game in August.

Thanks again to everyone who made the night such a success.

Hornsby Lions old boys, Hornsby Golden Oldies - Busted Lions, and all Busted Lions legends — the countdown is on… just one week to go!

Join us for our home games on Friday 19 June. Arrive from 6:30pm for a 7:00pm kick-off, with at least two games per team locked in.

We’re aiming for a full squad, so whether you’re still playing, returning for a run, or a keen Juniors/Minis parent — now’s the time to dust off the boots.

💰 Not registered? $30 gets you covered (insurance sorted)
