Last weekend was a solid step forward for 697 Racing. With a fresh rebuild on the car, testing some new stuff, and finally getting some more seat time.

Unfortunately in Heat 1 we started battling overheating issues, so we made the tough call to pull out early before risking any major damage. The positive was the car felt unreal in the rough stuff after rebuilding the shocks, and the track was awesome to drive.

Between heats we went straight to work trying to sort the temp issues. Heat 2 still had the car running hotter than we’d like, but temps were much more stable so we decided to send it anyway. We ended up bringing home 1st in class for Heat 2.

Behind the scenes we’ve been flat out trying to get the car dialled while balancing life and work commitments, so we haven’t been as active as we would have liked lately, but we’re finally getting to a point where the car feels better than ever and we’re excited for what’s ahead for us.

We also put our new app to the test all weekend and it worked flawlessly. The feedback so far has been awesome and we can’t wait to see more people jump on board.

A happy heavenly birthday to our best mate biggest supporter and track dad Tim, we put it all on the line today in honour of you. We miss you a heap mate, and you’ve helped make this dream become possible for us. The beers taste good today!

In our first heat we had overheating issues so we made the call to retire early and check the car over before causing any damage.

In our second heat, we made the decision to send it. The car still got hot, but we knew we had a reason to keep pushing.

Apologies for the lack of content today across our social media’s, it was a busy and emotional day for the whole crew.

A little project we’ve been working on for the past few months is now live on the App Store!

A massive thanks to the Corey and Aidan at for the awesome footage from last race at Darren’s Day Out. These guys are at every race putting in the hours to make sure everyone gets the best footage from their weekend racint, there’s a massive amount of work behind the scenes to put it all together.

We’ve been proud to support them over the past year, and we’re stoked to now have them onboard with , to help with marking the best spots for footage.

These guys were a wealth of knowledge for us in our first year of racing, and it’s good to be able to give back to the people who’ve supported us along the way!

Unfortunately not the result we hoped for, the car was feeling awesome, a bit of bad luck ended our race early, an easy fix and we’ll get after it at the next race!
