Body Wisdom Pilates is a new Pilates Studio located within Northside Sports Physiotherapy, 23 Redleaf Ave, Wahroonga. Our highly qualified and experienced staff offer private or small group sessions tailored specifically for you no matter what shape your body is in. Pilates is an ideal method of rehabilitation and conditioning for those with acute injury right through to those with long term fitne

ss and performance goals. Our equipment-based sessions are conducted on state of the art Pilates Studio equipment

Equipment-based Studio Pilates:
- Safe, effective and personalized movement experience
- 1 - 3 participants to ensure personalized attention
- Tuesdays and Thursdays 8 am – 1 pm
- Bookings essential
- No prior experience necessary

An individual initial assessment is required prior to participation in Studio Pilates sessions

Reformer/Mat Combo Classes:
- Wednesdays 9 am - 2 pm
- Fridays 9 am - 2 pm
- 2 - 3 participants
- Private sessions available by appointment
- Bookings essential
- No prior experience necessary

Pilates Mat Classes:
- Mondays at 9.30 am
- Wednesdays at 7 pm
- Maximum of 8 participants to ensure personalized attention

We now have studio sessions available from Tuesday to Friday through the day and on both Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

That's about 18 session times available!
Which includes a circuit class on Thursday nights from 6.40 pm which has spaces available for you if you have done some Pilates already and want a small group experience.

Our Monday night Pilates circuit class uses all the Studio equipment including the Reformer, Trapeze table, Barrels plus small apparatus and mat exercises. This takes the challenge to a whole new level of strength and control.

12 Minutes workout on each piece of equipment for a moderate paced and moderate strength workout.

If you are new to Pilates you will need an assessment to begin, so call us at Northside Sports Physio to book that in.

Here I am being challenged to the max!

Our Monday night PILATES CIRCUIT class is in full swing.

12 Minutes workout on each piece of equipment for a moderate paced and moderate strength workout.

So far they are loving it, having done only mat Pilates, trying the equipment takes it to a whole new level of strength and control.

If you are new to Pilates you will need an assessment to begin, so call us at Northside sports Physio to book that in.

It's a circuit style Pilates class using all the Studio equipment including the Reformer, Trapeze table, Barrels plus small apparatus and mat exercises.

The class is a whole body workout utilising all the traditional Pilates equipment to promote optimal movement quality, strength and flexibility.

10 weeks for $375
Casual session $40

Meet your Instructors - Karen our amazing leader!

For more than 20 years, Karen has been teaching Pilates, practising meditation and learning a variety of intuitive healing modalities. Her inspiration is holistic personal evolution for both her clients and herself, reconnecting body, mind and spirit.

Using Pilates and subtle energetic flow, Karen helps people to move optimally and without pain, improving their physical capacity and re-establishing trust in their bodies. Karen's passion is to help people, especially those with medical problems or injury, improve their health outcomes and well-being with movement tailored specifically to their needs.

Karen has a wealth of experience in the Pilates industry. She owned and operated Mindful Movement Pilates Studio until late 2017. She completed her Diploma of Professional Pilates instruction with Polestar Pilates and has been a Polestar Mentor assisting new instructors in their training for the last 9 years. She conducts workshops for students and other Pilates professionals.
Karen’s background is in health and research.

She was a Diabetes Nurse Consultant for 10 years at the Diabetes Centre at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, where she was responsible for clinical care, patient and health professional training, and research.

She also completed a Masters Degree (by Research) in Exercise and Sport Science. Her research focused on the effects of progressive resistance training in elderly, obese, diabetic subjects. Her research work has been published in international peer reviewed journals and she has co-authored a book on diabetes care for patients and health professionals.

Karen teaches on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
