Riverina Highlands Rail Trails Inc. Riverina Highlands Rail Trails is the peak body for the proposed Wagga Wagga to Tumbarumba rail trail.

As part of an overall plan to develop a world class tourism facility in the Riverina highlands it is intended to create a rail trail between Wagga Wagga and Tumbarumba. This development will occur in stages with the first stage being Tumbarumba to Rosewood. It is anticipated the second stage would be from Wagga Wagga to Ladysmith.

A massive congratulations to for bringing so much joy and prosperity to so many!

It's hard to believe we had the 'virtual' opening of the Tumbarumba to Rosewood Rail Trail on this day 6 years ago.

Back then we quietly opened our rail trail after almost 20 years of hard work. What began in uncertain times, due to lockdowns, has grown into something very special. Since then many thousands of people have walked/ridden along this beautiful trail - as well as visiting local towns and businesses.

Six years on, and it's still bringing people together.

Cheers to the trail and all the many journeys still to come.

The wait is over. The new cycle/walking trail from Wagga Wagga to the distant suburb of Forest Hill is complete! Here is a video of a ride along the route from Kooringal Road to the Forest Hill shops. The landscape is somewhat stark as Wagga Wagga is currently in drought conditions. You will see the second half of the ride is on the rail corridor. Congratulations to all involved.
