Another break in at the Harris Park site last night, with one of our tradesman's trailers being broken into. We hope the 2 males and 1 female in the footage may be able to assist with our inquiries. We also have vision of a light coloured sedan parked in Monash Crescent behind the sheds.

** 3rd break in Harris Park last night **
Thieves have broken a gate and gone to great lengths to load 16 very heavy planks onto a ute and/or trailer:
- 16 lengths of treated pine
- Size 6m x 90cm x 45cm

We are asking for community help to find the culprits and/or the timber.

All thefts have been reported to police. If you have any information please report to the police or to Wagga Rugby League. Several thousand dollars of gear has been taken now, and we’ve had a gutful of people flogging gear that is earmarked for this build, that benefits the community.

The implementation of CCTV is now being planned at further cost.

Wagga Rugby League is happy to announce that we have secured $150,000 from the NSWRL Infrastructure Fund to complete Stage 2 of the upgrade of facilities at Harris Park. Stage 2 involves removing the old corrugated iron announcing box and replacing it with a new announcing box, a media/camera area, and a viewing room. This room will be used for sponsors days, ladies days, Old Boy days etc. WRL Grants Manager, Jo Lloyd attended the NSWRL’s annual Community Rugby League Conference in Sydney for the presentation last Saturday.

The NSWRL Infrastructure Investment Fund supports growth in club engagement and participation through elevating facility playing standards, creating more inclusive facilities, unlocking additional capacity and creating a more connected network for stakeholders.

WRL is very grateful for the support from NSWRL to help with the Stage 2 upgrade of the Harris Park facilities, and also wishes to thank Jo for her efforts in applying & ultimately securing the funding.

*** ANOTHER THEFT LAST NIGHT - PLEASE KEEP A LOOKOUT*** Last night the fences were cut to gain entry to the build site at Harris Park. 2 x 20 m hoses were taken along with the builders signage which was fixed to the security fencing. Please keep an eye out for a very long length of mesh signage with Hallam & Sons Builders on it. Another kick in the guts for the hard-working volunteers, but we will get on with the job and look forward to the completion of this facility for the community and sports people who will benefit from it into the future.

***TAKEN FROM HARRIS PARK AMENITIES BLOCK CONSTRUCTION SITE***A Hitachi industrial jackhammer has disappeared from the Harris Park Amenities construction site. If anyone knows its whereabouts it would be appreciated if it was returned, no questions asked. This is a community build, undertaken to improve local sporting facilities for everyone. The equipment taken needs to be replaced at a cost to those carrying out these important works.
