Wagga Touch would like to wish Dean Russell a very fond farewell on his last day with NSW Touch Football.

Congratulations on your service to touch footy over an extended period of growth and excellence. In particular, Dean has been instrumental in the success of our Association hosting the Junior State Cup Southern Conference, boosting playing standards not just in Wagga, but throughout our Region.

We are pleased Dean will continue in our sport in his new role with Touch Football Australia and wish him every success.

CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR

The 2025/26 Wagga Vipers Club Person of the year was awarded to Wayne Murphy.

Wayne has long been a member of the WTA as a player, coach, manager, and volunteer. He is always the first person to volunteer his time to do whatever job needs doing, and has done so for many years despite his children no longer having involvement with our club.

Wayne generously volunteered three days of his time over the JSC weekend to assist with the management of canteen and other duties.

We are extremely lucky to have him with us, and grateful for the continued association with our club.

STRIKE LIKE A VIPER - CLUB SPIRIT AWARD

The Strike Like a Viper Award is given to a club member who embodies the spirit of community and a club first mindset.

This year Rebecca Hume is the worthy recipient of this award. Bec had given countless hours in all facets and jobs to assist in the successful administration of our club for the season. She had been an extremely welcome addition at committee level and we are all truly thankful for the time Bec has given to Wagga Touch Association this season.
