JUNIOR REP TRIAL THIS SUNDAY

Thank you to everyone who registered an expression of interest to trial for our Junior rep teams. Registration to trial is now closed.

Our first trial will be held at Jubilee Park on Sunday 20 September 2026 as per the below time slots.

U10 Boys & Girls 9:00-10:15am
U12 Boys & Girls 10:30-11:45am
U14 Boys & Girls 12:45-2:00pm

From this trial, squads will be selected for all divisions. SELECTED PLAYERS ONLY in the below divisions will be invited to a second trial at Jubilee Park on Wednesday 23 September 2026 as per below. This trial will be compulsory for SELECTED players only.

Please arrive 20 minutes before your trial as we need to organise the players to be identifiable to the selectors. This is extremely important as it does take a while to organise everyone before trials can commence.

Players trialling are to wear a numbered touch shirt, preferably your Junior team playing shirt, and touch boots. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR REPRESENTATIVE GEAR.

Please bring water, hat and sunscreen.

At yesterdays AGM, we had the pleasure of awarding Life Membership to Kirsty Wendt. No one could argue the commitment Kirsty has provided to WTA over many, many years and she is truly deserving of joining a long list of valued contributors to our club. Congratulations Kirsty.

Kirsty's nomination:
"Kirsty has been a member of Wagga Touch since she was a young girl (not sure of exact age when she first played).
Kirsty has contributed to Wagga Touch in many ways over many years. Prior to her becoming a committee member of WTA, Kirsty organised junior & senior teams, managed & coached junior teams from around 2009. Kirsty also referees when required.
Kirsty has been a committee member for 10 years, but not just a sitting member. Kirsty since joining the committee has been a very active contributor. Kirsty has been a crucial part of the Junior State Cup as Tour Leader and Merchandise co-ordinator – both very time consuming. On top of this, Kirsty also took on the role of Secretary of WTA and has been of great assistance to the administrators even long after the seasons are over. Never more than a phone call away. Kirsty has done countless stocktakes, co-ordinated & bought stock for & worked in the canteen. Kirsty has a good working relationship with NSW Touch & her contributions to WTA while on the committee & executive have been nothing but outstanding.
Kirsty has also represented Wagga in Senior carnivals as a player, been tour leader for senior representative carnivals plus team manager. I’m sure I have also missed some of her contributions to our beloved sport. Kirsty is passionate about Touch football and has been key in it’s success over many years. I whole heartly nominate her to be worthy of Life Membership."
