Turvey Park Junior Bulldogs

The Home of the Turvey Park Junior Australian Rules Football & Netball Club The Club was started in 1958 by founding members Bob Nye & Ron Harrison.

The League comprised of four under 12 teams. The were called Trojans, Maria Goretti, Magpies & Bombers. Bob Nye made Turvey Park his life and became a Life Member of Turvey Park Midget League, Victorian Country Football League, Turvey Park Australian Senior Football Club and the Wagga & District Junior League. He was President of the Schoolboys from 1958 to 1969, and also in 1973 and 1986

rison was the founding Secretary of Turvey Park Juniors, Life Member Of Turvey Park Seniors and also Patron for that Club. Ron was also a founding member of the Riverina Australian Football Club, now known as The Rules Club. The initial Bob Nye Carnival was held in 1984. This was an annual event up until 2002, it was held the week before the competition rounds began. The Clubs original home ground was Gissing Oval which is now a soccer oval. We now call Maher Oval our home. The club colours have followed the seniors and we stand proud in Red, White & Blue!!!

🏉 Turvey Park Youth Girls AFL – Round 2 Results 💥

U16: Swans/Turvey Park 4.12.36 def EWK Hawks 1.4.10
The Turvey/Swans girls were dominant from start to finish, recording a strong win over East Wagga. It was a fantastic team performance, with Phoebe outstanding down back, intercepting and rebounding all day. Grace Peterson and Andi Fields were strong ball winners through the middle. Lacey Grocott had an outstanding first game. Daisy Joyce-Spencer competed all game and was instrumental in several goals.
🙌 A big thank you to the girls who helped play for East Wagga so the game could go ahead. A great display of sportsmanship!

A determined full team effort by the girls, great pressure around the contest and clean skills helped pave a way for the win.

The girls are starting to really come together — learning the rules, building confidence, and even mastering the difference between a touch pass
and a handball ;)

🏉 Turvey Park Youth Girls AFL – Round 1 Results 💥
What a way to kick off the season!
🔥 U16: Swans/Turvey Park 12.3.75 def Saints/Tigers/Lions 0.2.2
Now that’s how you start a season 👏
The under 16’s girls delivered a strong team performance, sharing the scoring across a number of players and working hard for one another all game. Andi Fields and Alice Donaldson were influential through the midfield, winning plenty of the ball and driving the team forward. Zara Connolly was outstanding across the ground, providing great run and effort in every contest. In defence, Delilah Griffin and Katani Milligan stood tall, playing strong games down back and rebounded all game. It was a complete team effort and a great first performance from the girls.

Our classy looking Turvey Park under 14’s girls team is full of players to keep your eye on. Smooth ball movement, confident play… and yes, we’ll say it — some of these girls have better kicks than their dads ever did 👀😂
