its raining, too cold to go fishing so it got me thinking. some of the best places to go fishing when it's like this, is north or even overseas. For most it would be a first to go to another country and knowing where to go, who with, or what tackle to take, can be a bit daunting. Going to your local tackle shop is usually the first port of call, but is it the right one? If you want to go to PNG to catch PNG Black Bass, has the tackle shop staff ever been out of the store, to be able to fit you out with the right gear?? the same applies to lure makers, if they haven't been out of there back shed how do they know what will or won't work. this is the difference with Oar-Gee Lures. Our lures have been designed and tested by us, in Africa, PNG, the Amazon, and we also have people in places we haven't yet been to do our testing. There are only 50 boxes sets containing one original wooden signed 75mm Plow and one of our latest production 75mm Plows, each box is numbered and engraved.

I want to clear up some mixed messages doing the rounds (this is not AI) the first is we are not closed or closing down, in fact very far from it, secondly, yes, we have deleted some colours and a couple of models (the Wee-Pee and Lil Ripper for now) thirdly the painted bib lures have been deleted, and in the 100mm and 75mm Plows replaced with black polycarbonate bibs.
Painting bibs is not only very time consuming and expensive it is a process that requires a totally different painting solution, painting polycarbonate with the same paint you use on the lure body (mineral based) will over a short time react with the polycarbonate and break. In conclusion Oar-Gee Lures have been here for 40 years, sure there have been some changes, but nothing has changed, only the quality and supply Oar-Gee Lures are still Oar-Gee Lures. Rumours can easily be verified by contacting us directly.
