Feel good Friday!
Get to know some of our Riverina Rollers.
Today we asked our member Chaos Crusader some hard hitting questions.

Q: What brand of skates do you love?

The first and (so far) only pair of skates I've actually bought have been my bonts, and I love them, but I could be biased because they're mine

Q: What is your go-to karaoke song?

Funnily enough I don't actually do karaoke much, even though I'd love to, I just don't have people to go with lol. But my favourite songs to belt out right now are Tally by twenty one pilots, Where is my husband? by Raye, and Fever dream by Alex Warren. So probably one of those.

Q: What is the best concert you’ve ever been to?

Hands down twenty one pilots. Their stage presence and showmanship is incredible and being able to be in the crowd when they perform is almost a religious experience. I've seen them twice and am eager to see them again when I get the chance.

Q: Do you have a lucky number?

I guess probably 12, cause when people ask me for a random number it's the one I usually say, which is also why it's my derby number haha

Q: What is your favourite derby position?

As exhausting as I find it, I love the opportunity for a good jam. Hitting a wall hard and being able to find a way through it is such a satisfying feeling.

Q: What drew you to derby?

Back when I was in high school, one of my friend's mum's was on the local team (shout out to the Rat Pack) and he was part of the junior team and introduced my other friends to the sport. After like a year I ended up joining and loved it, but my family moved away and there wasn't a league where we ended up. When I found out there was a team here (after having lived here for nearly 5 years) I was so keen to join because of how much I enjoyed playing when I was younger. Now I've been training here for a bit over a year and have been having the best time.
I think it's a great sport for people who arent super fit because though you do need cardio and stamina for it, you can build it up while training, unlike in other sports where you kinda need to be fit from the start.
