Are you wanting to begin your yoga journey & feeling unsure where to start? 🌱

A common question we get asked is, “I’m a beginner, which class do you suggest I start with?”

Firstly, all are welcome to every class and style! The teachers at Sangha are welcoming and willing to make the class accessible to students attending with varying levels of yoga experience.

However, the specific class style we most commonly respond to this question with are our Gentle Hatha classes! 🪷

Here, you’ll find a slower pace than Dynamic Hatha, which can be helpful when hearing different pose names and experiencing flows for the first time. In Gentle Hatha, you’ll also find a balance of both movement and stillness, as opposed to the long periods of stillness in a Yin class, which can offer more of a mental challenge.

But whichever class you choose to be your first at Sangha, our teachers will be thrilled to have you, and ready to support you whenever you’re at 🦋

There is something special that happens when we slow down together. 🤍

After a beautiful, May session, I’m so excited to be opening bookings for our June Mini & Me Connection Session.

These monthly gatherings offer a gentle opportunity for children and their caregivers to move, breathe, create, and connect through simple mindfulness practices.

This month we’ll be exploring how our bodies speak to us through movement, breath, sensations, and feelings. Together, we'll discover ways to pause, notice, and respond with curiosity and kindness.

- Mindful movement
- Breathing practices
- Story and reflection
- Creative expression
- Moments of connection and calm

Our Kids Mindfulness & Movement session returns in June, offering children an opportunity to build awareness of their bodies, emotions, and energy through playful mindfulness practices.

This month we'll be exploring how our bodies communicate with us and learning to notice the clues they give us through movement, sensations, breath, and feelings.

Together we'll explore:

- Mindful movement and yoga
- Breathing tools
- Emotional awareness
- Creative reflection
- Finding the pause

These sessions are designed to support children in developing body awareness, emotional literacy, self-regulation, and confidence in a fun and engaging way.

Dear Sangha community,

We would love to hear from you!

What are you wanting to see more from us?
✨Workshops and events?
✨ Day or 1/2 day immersions?
✨ Any particular topics of interest?

The teachings of yoga are incredibly intricate, profound and broad, and only so much of these teachings can be captured within a 60min yoga class.

This is why we love to offer additional events and pop ups. This way we can provide opportunities for greater insight into the teachings of yoga, more ways to experience the practice, and bigger containers to hold healing journeys.

Leave us a comment below on what you’d like to see more from us 🙏

Dynamic Hatha is a strong, mindful practice that blends traditional Hatha Yoga with fluid movement and conscious breath. This class focuses on building strength, stability, and embodied awareness, supporting both physical resilience and mental clarity.

Through a balance of steady postures and dynamic transitions, the practice invites you back into your body, cultivating grounding, confidence, and presence. Classes are intelligently sequenced and accessible, with options and variations offered to meet each practitioner where they are.

You can expect to leave feeling energised, balanced, and uplifted, with a greater sense of connection to yourself and your breath.

Suitable for beginners through to experienced practitioners 🙏✨☀️

“Sometimes when you’re in a dark place you think you’ve been buried, but you’ve actually been planted”
- Christine Caine 🌱

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, each of the seasons energetically is attributed to the life cycle stage of a plant.

You may guess that this cycle begins in Spring, but it actually commences in Winter, where the sapling is simply a seed beneath the soil. Dark, cold, and unsure of which way is up, the stage of the seedling can feel lonely, stagnant and uncertain of what comes next. We enter this phase many times throughout our life, and most often we meet it with resistance, sadness, feelings of failure or that we aren’t “doing enough”.

Rather than pushing through to hurriedly find the surface, the energetics of winter call us to pause, slow down and preserve our vital energy. There is an inherent trust in the unknown that is required. There is a quiet knowing that no matter what we do, whether it be surrender or struggle, that the coming of Spring is inevitable either way.

And so, with the fast approaching season of winter, perhaps you have observed your energy start to lessen, or your motivation start to dim. Accept this phase without judgement, self criticism or resistance. Now is the time to begin preparations for rest and more intentional usage of our precious energy. Winter prepares us to be planted, to retreat into the dark and trust in the

🌿 TERM 2 TIMETABLE IS HERE 🌿

As the seasons turn and autumn begins to settle around us, nature offers a different rhythm; one of grounding, refinement, and release. Where summer invited movement and expansion, autumn calls us inward… to simplify, to steady, and to reconnect with what truly matters.

In many wisdom traditions, this season is linked with the Metal element the energy of clarity, boundaries, breath, and letting go. It reminds us that strength is not always in doing more, but in knowing what to keep and what to release.

Term 2 invites us back to the mat:
to breathe more deeply,
to move with awareness,
to regulate the nervous system,
to reconnect in community,
and to meet this season with presence, resilience, and grace.
