BEFORE YOU RACE OR SAIL AT VSC

Before competing or sailing at VSC, members must: be registered as a current VSC member; have paid any applicable membership and sailing fees; and have an Australian Sailing Number.

⛵ WANTED: VOLUNTEERS FOR THE 54TH HOBIE CAT NATIONALS! 🎉

Not sailing at the 54th Australian Hobie Cat National Championships? Why not be part of the action anyway!

Vincentia Sailing Club is looking for energetic members of the Hobie Family to lend a hand in helping us run what promises to be a truly spectacular Australian Hobie Cat Nationals over the 2026/27 New Year period.

Whether you’re keen to get out on the water or prefer to help on shore, there’s a role for you!

🌊 ON-WATER: Rescue boats, course boats & spectator boats
🍔 ON-SHORE: Canteen, BBQ & general event assistance
🤙 MOST IMPORTANTLY: Come along, meet the Hobie Family and be part of the party!

And of course, we won’t let our volunteers go hungry! 😋

Volunteers will be provided with food and drinks while assisting, as well as dinner at the presentation of your corresponding series.

📅 SERIES 1: 2–5 January 2027
📅 SERIES 2: 7–10 January 2027

You can volunteer for a single day, multiple days, or the entire series — whatever works for you.

If you’re not sailing, this is your chance to experience the Nationals from a completely different perspective and help make an unforgettable event happen.

SPRING IS ALMOST HERE… AND SO IS SAILING SEASON! ⛵🌱

Just over ONE WEEK until the start of spring, which means the Jervis Bay sailing season is almost here!

Whether you’re just starting your sailing journey or you’re ready to take the next step, where will your sailing journey take you?

From the humble Hobie Wave, through to the iconic Hobie 14, Hobie 14 Turbo and Hobie 16, and ultimately the speed and excitement of F18s, F16s and Nacra 15s — there’s a whole world of sailing waiting to be explored.

Disclaimer: the VSC welcomes all catamarans of all shapes and sizes! We have, of course, missed a few. Like the Maricat 4.3, A-Class and Taipan. All great catamarans. The classes included have been the dominant classes at the VSC in recent years. We are always keen to have more classes, of any hull shape, size or number, join our fleet!

Round 4 of the VSC’s Winter Hobie Wave Grand Prix is scheduled for today, Sunday 2nd August.

Arrival at 11am for a 12pm start to racing.
