Led by 7th Dan Sensei Eric Ho, with decades of experience. Established in 1971, our Club training offers a safe and supportive environment for adults keen to learn recreational karate. Under the direction of 7th Dan Sensei and Founder Eric Ho with 50+ years' experience, sessions focus on different aspects of karate in an empowering and relaxed setting.

That’s one of the things we enjoy about karate training. It gives you time to focus on something completely different.

What helps you switch off after a busy week?

A new karate technique can feel awkward at first.

Your stance feels unfamiliar. Your timing is off. You forget what comes next.

Then you practise it a few more times, make a few adjustments and suddenly it starts to make sense.

That’s one of the things we enjoy about adult karate - you don’t need to be good when you start. You just need to keep learning and practising.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵?
Most people think the first month of karate is about learning how to punch or kick.

What surprises many beginners is something else.

You become more aware of how you move. Your feet, posture, balance and coordination all start improving. Unfamiliar stances & movements might leave you a little achy at first - but that's simply your body adapting.

The biggest surprise? After training on a busy workday, many people leave class feeling more energised than when they arrived. Stepping away from emails, deadlines and screens for 75 minutes can do wonders for both body and mind.

Progress isn't always dramatic. Sometimes it's simply standing a little taller, moving with more confidence and finishing the evening with a clearer mind.
