The countdown is on for the 2026/27 Arrow & Arrow Cadet National Championships at Victor Harbor Yacht Club! 🌊⛵

As we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Australian Arrow Nationals, we’re also proud to launch our “She Sails – Sail Our Way” Initiative — helping encourage more women and girls into the sport, while continuing to build a fun, welcoming and competitive event for everyone.

Sailing has traditionally been a male-dominated sport, but the Arrow class continues to showcase just how strong, competitive and capable female sailors are alongside some of the best sailors in the country.

Whether you’re chasing a National title, trying your first major regatta, sailing socially, or simply coming along for the experience, the Arrow Nationals is open to sailors of all ages, skill levels and backgrounds.

With competitors travelling from across Australia, Victor Harbor is set to host an exciting week of racing, beachside action, great hospitality and unforgettable memories on and off the water.

The Yacht Club held its annual awards presentation dinner on Anzac Day eve.
A large crowd of all ages attended keeping the chefs and bar staff busy and a great night was had by all.

Hi VHYC Members.

It’s that time of the year that we get an opportunity to sit back and look at how well our little club has travelled over the last 12 months. That’s right. It’s time for our Annual General Meeting, or AGM.

Far from being an opportunity to stay at home and watch the footy, or knit some socks in anticipation of a long cold winter, this is when we get together and hear the reports, thank those who have held the tiller, and decide who will be the new guardians of our club.

The current crop, usually referred to as, ‘The Committee’, have all decided to stand down and make way for some newbies to take the helm. Of course, some have unfinished business, and will throw their names in the hat again. We are definately looking for a Treasurer.

If you are willing to join the merry bunch then it’s a simple task of being nominated and start canvassing for votes. To be eligible under the ‘rules’ you need to be a current financial senior member of the club. Similarly, to cast a vote, you need to be a current financial senior member. We need a quorum of 20 members.
