5-STEPS TO IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH✅
1. STRETCHING: 🧘
Stretching increases blood flow, boosts oxygen levels and helps deliver nutrients to your muscles. It also removes metabolic waste like carbon dioxide, ammonia and uric acid. Stretching also keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way.
2. CREATE CONSISTENT HABITS: ♻️
Consistency is key to a healthier lifestyle because training our body to require the same thing every day minimizes the tendency to binge, especially in eating. Simply show up. Minimal effort will always out perform no effort. Do it over and over again so that your body and mind become use to the routine.
3. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: 💪
Physical activity can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Begin with simple or complex activities like walking, running, swimming, biking, gym sessions, playing sports, etc.
4. SPOT FOOD TRIGGERS: 🧐
Trigger foods are foods that are generally eaten out of habit, not necessarily hunger. Your trigger foods are something you probably feel addicted to and is likely high-calorie, processed and filled with non-nutritional carbs. Write down when/where/how long you had a food trigger to create a plan to reduce the amount of food triggers you have each day.
5. NUTRITION CHANGES: 🥗
Good nutrition helps fuel your body and fight illness. When making these changes, start with adjusting liquid carbs. Example of these are sugary drinks like soda, juice, fancy coffees, energy drinks, etc. If you can reduce/eliminate these and follow steps 1-4, you'll start to see fantastic results!
