Avalon of Ellis Park, with his big half sister Zulu of Ellis Park. Avalon is 16 months old. He is a Foalbook gelding, by Sipke 450 out of Ster mare Genta fan Ferwalde. Avalon will mature tall, modern, and hairy. He's a gorgeous, friendly, very easy going fellow, and will make someone a fantastic best friend.

I've no idea when it was that Anja last had a bit in her mouth, a saddle on, or anyone on her back. It was literally years ago. Like maybe 4 years ago. She was started under saddle in 2021, and maybe had a half dozen easy rides since she came home from that. So she's green. Super green.

This week we sadly learnt that she's slipped her Teun 505 foal. So today I thought I'd see what she thought of being a riding horse instead of a mumma. We hung out for a bit, walked around on the ground together for a bit, and she was super chilled; so I just got on.

What did she do? Everything exactly and perfectly. Granted I didn't ask for much. We just walked circles, figure 8's, sideways, back up, and a little trot. But am I impressed with her. 100%
She's still not great with is that pesky bit in her mouth, so maybe I'll try a hackamore on her next time. She's sensible enough.

I'm so incredibly proud of Kolisi of Ellis Park, and his mum Leanne Norman, at their first ever cowboy dressage test. Steam trains next door, blowing whistles and letting off steam, but he took it all on like a champ. Best part of all though, was the gorgeous cuddles he gave me. Does he remember me? I don't know; but this only son of my beloved Chevelle is one absolutely loveable gelding. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

We missed Avalon of Ellis Park's 1st birthday on Christmas day, so here are some photos taken when we got home from our trip.
Avalon is a smart, friendly, confident and calm foalbook gelding. He is sired by Sipke 450, out of imported Ster mare Genta fan Ferwalde (Maurus 441).
These photos don't do his movement justice, but do show the type he will be. Correct. Hairy. Tall and Modern. Stunning!

He'll only go to a 5 star forever home.

This beautiful boy ticks all the boxes.
Breeding, sensational movement, kind easy nature, lovely conformation, perfect manners, good looks, and that hair!
Avalon of Ellis Park is a 9 month old Foalbook gelding by Sipke 450, out of imported Ster mare Genta fan Ferwalde (Maurus 441 x Brend 413).
Avalon is easy to do anything with, follows you around like a dog, and will be the ultimate best friend to some lucky person. He has super powerful elastic movement, and would excel in dressage.
He is full sibling to Ster Mare Kiri of Ellis Park, and will mature over 16h.
Avalon injured his mouth when a week old, but vet examination, at the time of gelding a few weeks ago, pronounced him definitely fine to wear a bit, without any expected compromise to his performance career. He's also sensible and responsive enough to be a bitless mount.
We are in absolutely no rush to part with this lovely young man. He will go a 5 star home only, or will stay here and suffer me as my future riding horse 😂
