Hervey Bay Boat Club Yacht Squadron Inc. The HBBC Yacht Squadron Inc. is a club for all keel and trailer yachts, monohulls and multihulls. We are an intra club of the The Boat Club.

Fees

Adult Sailing - $120.00 (includes Australian Sailing membership)
Social - $40

All yacht squadron members must be members of The Boat Club as

well. Facilities

The Boat Club (our parent club)offers fantastic facilities including: restaurants, cinemas, coffee shop, bars, gaming, live entertainment and function rooms. They also have an amenities block, laundry, marina and a club house . Our club house (The Container) is where we meet for race briefings. Presentation and after-race socialising is held in the bistro at The Boat Club. Trailer Sailers are able to use the public launching ramps adjacent to The Boat Club with ample trailer parking. There is also a hard stand boat lock up area for Boat Club members. Racing

We sail Sunday fortnightly races from the Boat Club around buoys or around the navigation marks in the partially smooth waters of Hervey Bay. We also cruise socially around the Great Sandy Straits and over to Fraser Island. Race fees are $10 per person. Annual Sailing Event

Kingfisher Bay Resort Regatta - sailed in front of Kingfisher Bay Resort Fraser Island - Australia Day weekend. This year it has been postponed to the Fraser Coast Show weekend. Currently we have a broad range of yachts in our fleet ranging from small trailer sailers, trimarans to keeled yachts. Any person interested in sailing as crew can register onto our crew register. If you have your own yacht and are not an Australian Sailing member you can attend races by getting a SailPass on our website’s Club Sailing page. Meetings

Our monthly general meeting is held on the first Thursday of every month in the Meeting Room (Upstairs next to the Fraser Room) of The Boat Club at 7:30 PM. Due to COVID restriction this is currently limited to committee members.
