Players, this year’s Wide Bay Championship will look a little different to our usual Championship weekend.
Unfortunately, the Clubhouse has a corporate event booked for the Friday and Saturday. They have done everything they can to try and move things around for us, but unfortunately it just hasn’t been possible.
Because of this, we’ll be running a shorter Championship program this year, kicking off on Sunday.

We understand this isn’t the usual full Wide Bay Championship schedule that everyone has come to expect, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding.
The good news is that we have already worked with the Clubhouse and secured the Championship weekend for the next FIVE YEARS, allowing us to plan for the full Championship schedule going forward! 🙌
The other events that would normally be part of Championship weekend won’t be forgotten. We’ll work them into the following weekends wherever they fit best so players still get the opportunity to play them.
Despite the shorter schedule, we’re still going to make the 2026 Wide Bay Championship a massive couple of days of poker! 🏆♠️
