It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Jacqueline Lancaster. Jackie was a valued member of Dressage Western Australia and an integral member of the equestrian community. She contributed her time as an esteemed judge, tirelessly organised clinics to develop riders in WA, and generously supported and sponsored events in WA. She will be greatly missed by her loving family, friends and all that knew her including the many EWA members that she helped and supported. Our sincere and deepest condolences to Jesseca, Carl and respective family members on their sad loss.

Sorry I’ve been off grid for the last week or so. It’s been a rough couple of weeks here losing two of my best mates.
Both of them were simply unable to be saved from freak incidents.
Mark (horse) has been in my life for the last 17 years and we think was lost to a snake bite, despite every effort he passed away in his sleep
Tango (dog) was in the prime of her life at 6 years old and curiosity got her when she took a dingo bait.
Rest in peace my dear Mark and Tango. May you run free up there together

This bushfire started 30km away from us at Midday Monday. Overnight it traveled 30km but went to our North. By 4.30am Tuesday it was heading South, straight at us. It burnt our neighbours properties (but not houses) and came down the hill at us from the East at about 2.30 Tuesday afternoon. We lost power Sunday night and only had it restored last night. We have also been intermittently without phone and internet coverage.

I have lots of cleaning to do - including the ropes because smoke and ash get EVERYWHERE!

Huge thanks to DFES, Wundowie VFRS, Murdoch FRS, Mt Helena VBFB, DPAW, all of our friends, neighbours and everyone else who helped out or called and messaged to check on us.

We still have all our animals and infrastructure and are very lucky to have that. Again, huge thanks to everyone involved.

We are safe now but no power and probably no power for days

There is now a problem with the SIM card... phone is offline again until they can sort it out

Another bushfire nearby today...
Thankfully the quick response by the neighbours, DFES and loads of volunteers - the fire was out without any life or property damage. A small miracle given the strong winds this afternoon.
