Sorry, not freakin sorry, long post! I’ve been very overwhelmed by the response to my post re the brumby cull, so many comments, shares reactions, most of them in support of letting them live, be free or rehomed, not shot from a moving chopper!
Of course, there were a few all for shooting them but honestly not only were those few very rude about how they put their comments forward they were in a very small pool all on their own and you are welcome to stay there and wallow. If you don’t like what I have to say, then scroll on by.
I wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone else though! Quite a few asked how to help, what to do, here are a few things that a couple of the brumby pages have posted. The petition is only for NSW residents, not sure why, so if you have friends and family there, please send it to them to sign.
WHAT CAN YOU DO??

Things you mention?
- Aerial culling must not go ahead - you do not accept aerial culling as a humane control method for Brumbies, it is cruel and barbaric, which horses unable to be shot cleanly and they will die a slow and agonising death, like the last time, shot in the back, belly, necks etc.
- Fertility control – why is this not being considered to lower the Brumby population humanely
-the fact that Jack Gough's wife is working for Penny Sharpe. It would appear someone's lining their pockets...
- The current Passive trap program is well run and humane in the way that the Brumbies are trapped, handled and managed by Parks staff
- Rehomers need government support to continue to save and place as many Brumbies as possible
You may feel this is no point, but, YES there is! Every single letter and email is logged in. Gotta keep trying.
