What makes you stressed?

For me, it used to be driving.

I would sit in traffic and think,
“What is that person doing? Are they stupid?” Every delay felt unnecessary. Every hesitation irritated me.
I truly believed the stress was caused by other drivers.
Over time I realised something uncomfortable.
It wasn’t them.

It was my impatience.
My belief that things should move at my pace.

Driving became a mirror.

When I began practising awareness, everything changed.

Awareness of my tightening jaw.
Awareness of the story forming in my mind.
Awareness that the person in front of me may be tired, distracted, worried, or simply doing their best.

Stress softened the moment I stopped making the situation personal.

Awareness creates space.
And in that space, we regain choice.

Perhaps the question is not “What is stressing me?”

But “What is this situation revealing about

Why do we fear change so much, even when we know it’s the key to growth?

It’s fascinating how the mind clings to the familiar, even when we know that growth requires letting go. In my years of working with people through breathwork and personal development, I’ve seen this time and again—people want change, they crave it, but the discomfort of leaving their comfort zone holds them back.

We stay in jobs that don’t fulfil us, relationships that drain us, and mental patterns that sabotage our potential, all because they’re familiar. The unknown is often painted with fear, so we resist. But here’s something that’s helped me shift my perspective: Growth doesn’t require giant leaps. It’s more about small, consistent choices that build momentum over time.

This is where Wholistic Breathwork & Psychonomy comes in. It’s a tool that helps you create space to see the root of your resistance and understand how your thoughts and emotions influence your decisions. Breathwork, in particular, can bring to the surface the unconscious beliefs that have been running your life without you even realising it.

The path of our lives is largely determined by the decisions we make. Yet, how often do we stop to examine those choices? My experience has shown that life isn’t a series of coincidences; it's influenced by the decisions we make, whether we’re conscious of them or not, and by the limits we set based on our beliefs.

I’ve spent nearly four decades exploring Breathwork and Wholistic Psychonomy, and one truth stands out: everything in life is a choice. Whether we are aware of it or not, every action, reaction, and inaction stems from the choices we make—choices that are influenced by our thoughts, emotions, and past experiences.
But here's the thing: many of us are not fully equipped to make the best choices for ourselves. We often react emotionally to what we believe is real, rather than what is actually real. This misalignment can lead to stress, strained relationships, and a general sense of discontent.

What if there was a way to uncover who you really are and make decisions that are aligned with your true self? This isn’t about discovering something new; it’s about peeling back the layers to uncover the essence of who you are. It’s a journey that doesn’t end after one workshop or one insight—it’s ongoing, evolving as you do.

Dynamic Group Breathwork is a fast way to break old, ingrained patterns that no longer serve us. It creates a very safe space to experience the freedom of moving our bodies without fear of judgement. It gives us time during the movement to contemplate our relationship with the body, the mind and the emotions.
This is a great way to practise being fully present.

I am constantly surprised with what happens in this particular Group Breathwork because different people have such very different reactions.
Some of the comments from the last one we held on the Gold Coast were:
Unbelievable.
I found it invigorating and energising.
I didn't want it to stop.. it felt so good...
I realised that I tend to give up easily just when things are about to change - that was a big lesson for me.
It was tough but it was good.

The main idea is to remain a witness to our breathing, to our thoughts and feelings and to the breath. The central idea is to not to lose ourselves but to find ourselves by staying in that witness frame of mind. In other words, we observe what is happening in the body, the mind and the emotions as they are happening.

This is the perfect practice for someone struggling to be in the present.
It is the perfect practice for someone who wants to experience more joy in their lives.
And ...
It is the perfect practice for someone who wants to let go of all their inhibitions and experience the essence of their true nature.
