St John’s Tecoma CC is delighted to announce the re-signing of young gun Archer Maudsley.

Archer was an unexpected star of last year's 1st XI campaign. Starting the year as the 2nd XI's opening batsman, Archer got the call-up as an off-spinner and never looked back, taking 19 wickets at an average of 26.11.

Archer also captained our Under-18s side last season, leading the group to a top-two finish while taking 16 wickets at an average of 18.

Archer brings immense energy to our team with his witty comments and vibrant, excited attitude.

We are super excited to have Archer back at Talaskia this year! 💚💛🖤🦎

St. John’s Tecoma Cricket Club is absolutely delighted to announce the Dean (Weasel) Lucas has resigned for season 2026/27

Weasel has been a staple in the First XI over the past years where he has been a lethal left arm pace bowler. Last year Weasel was consistent as ever taking 23 wickets with an average of 26.61

And who could forget when Weasel wrote himself in St Johns Tecoma folklore, for when he took 7/43 of 25 overs against Upper Gully in our Elimination Final win last season.

Weasel is a great club person and we can’t wait to see him back down at Talaskia in 2026/27 💚💛🖤

2025/26 WOMENS A GRADE PREMIERS

Our Women's team claimed a historic premiership this year led by Captain Elaine Kos and Coach Ian Harley. This premiership was truly special as the girls managed to go through the season undefeated.

It was a fantastic debut season for the Saints in the FTGDCA. The club thoroughly enjoyed being part of the competition and looked forward to seeing the league continue to grow and thrive in the years ahead.

This marked a deeply proud moment for the club’s women’s program, which carries a rich history stretching back to 1980 when the very first women’s team took the field. This undefeated premiership added a brilliant new chapter to the strong legacy built by the women of the club over the last four decades.

St. John’s Tecoma is incredibly passionate about continuing to grow women’s and junior girls’ cricket, with a second women’s team having successfully joined the ranks, there has never been a better time to get involved down at Talaskia! 💚💛🖤

St Johns Tecoma Announces the Re-Signing of Oliver Gillard

Ollie cemented himself as a superstar young keeper-batsman this past season, making 250 runs at an average of 17, as well as taking 16 catches behind the stumps. Having made his First XI debut at only 15 years old, Ollie is a much-loved member of our group.

On a sad note, Ollie found out today that he has ruptured his ACL, ruling him out of the upcoming 2026/27 season. This is shattering news for our young 17-year-old cricket nuffy.

The whole St Johns Tecoma community is right behind you, Ollie. Get well soon 💚💛🖤

St John’s Tecoma CC is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dean Gillard as our new Club Coach.

Dean brings an elite level of experience and a proven winning pedigree to the club. With a distinguished 20-year career playing First XI cricket and multiple Country Week appearances to his name, Dean has consistently performed at the highest level. His leadership credentials are equally impressive, highlighted by a successful tenure as Captain-Coach of his home club, Traralgon Rovers, where he remains the record-holder for the most First XI runs in the club’s history.

Over the past few years Dean has been coaching our Under 18s side where he has guided the team to high place finishes. Dean also coached representative junior sides over the past years with the highlight being leading the Under 16 representative side to a premiership which was the first premiership for FTGDCA in the Under 16 age group ever.

Just last season Dean was still showing his cricketing class by playing in our First XI alongside his son Ollie, where he had an average of 21.86 with the bat.

We are delighted to have Dean lead the club forward for season 2026/27 💚💛🖤

He picked up the 1st XI Batting Award with 421 runs @ 46.78 with 1 hundred and two 50s and 16 wickets @ 29, an all round stellar season further pushing his case as one of the premier all rounders in the competition.
