As some of you may be aware there was a recent dog attack in South Australia where a 2 year old girl was mauled by the families Boerboel. This event sent the media into a frenzy, and it also saw a Vet interviewed who was demanding the breed be banned.

Now lets discuss the real problem which is ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ก๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ก'๐ง ๐ช๐ข๐ฅ๐!!! - and this is something we can prove statistically following attempts to implement ๐๐ฆ๐ (Breed Specific Legislation) which targeted Pitbulls.

Will the dog be temperament tested by a leading industry professional in the field of aggression? ๐ง๐ต๐ฎ๐'๐ ๐ต๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐น๐ ๐๐ป๐น๐ถ๐ธ๐ฒ๐น๐, and the truth is the dog has probably already been euthanased which leaves us with ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ก๐ to study and learn from. Should the dog be euthanased? In my professional opinion YES, because any dog that inflicts serious injury to a person, a child, or another animal is not welcome in our society. If a dog attacks, and the intent of that animal is to try and kill a person, then I'm sorry those dogs have no place within our community.

Are some breeds of dogs more capable of doing damage and genetically predisposed to being aggressive? ABSOLUTELY, but this is where we need to look at who is breeding these dogs, and who is selling them to the people who can't keep them responsibly which impacts everyone.
In a vast majority of cases when this happens there almost always seems to be the same common denominator... ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ ๐ ๐๐ก๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ก๐ง... not training (yes that matters too), but what I'm talking about is supervising children and dogs. And as father, and Dogfather of 3 male Rottweilers I can tell you our in-home management is of the highest level. Because that's what keeps ๐๐ฉ๐๐ฅ๐ฌ๐ข๐ก๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐!
