We're recruiting for our Senior Team competing in the Community Cricket Championship (CCC) 1st Grade for the 2026/27 season. If you love playing cricket and also giving back to your local community, send us a message and we'll get in touch!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our 150 Years of Cricket at Brookfield celebration at the Showgrounds on Saturday!

It was a fantastic day, with wonderful support from the Brookfield and western suburbs community.

The club wishes to express its sincere appreciation to Premier David Crisafulli MP for attending and for the Queensland Government's $35,000 investment into Brookfield United for infrastructure and equipment upgrades, to ensure our club can thrive for generations to come. Thank you also Dr Christian Rowan MP and Cr Greg Adermann for your continued support, and to Tay from OpOz for the fantastic photos from the day.

Finally, a huge thanks to our Australian cricket legends for joining in the celebrations, including former Australian Test captain Allan Border AO, former Australian Test fast bowler Carl Rackemann OAM and former Australian Test batter Joe Burns.

ONE DAY TO GO!

What a final! Unfortunately Brookfield fell just five runs short of the Silent Assassins' score of 126, with the match going down to the second-last ball of the day. An excellent effort from the squad and our tireless organiser and captain David "Doc" Simpson to get us all the way to the grand final!
Congratulations to Silent Assassins on the win, some solid early-innings batting set them up for a good total that proved too much to chase.
Also a huge thank you to Warehouse Cricket Association QLD for the incredible photos. Looking forward to next winter!

It was a stellar team performance in the semi-final ✨

Brookfield bowled out Ball Lords for 39 with Chris King and Finn Read each taking three wickets, before Connor Stone led the chase with 20 not out to take us to the grand final!

150 YEARS OF CRICKET AT BROOKFIELD!

Brookfield United Cricket Club is incredibly proud to celebrate 150 years of cricket at the Brookfield Showgrounds. Come down and celebrate with us from 9am-1pm on Saturday 29 August 2026. We'll have cricket-inspired activities, a coffee cart, food trucks, cricketing VIPs including legendary Australian captain Allan Border and former QLD and Test player Carl Rackemann, and more!

It's also a great honour to have the QLD Premier The Hon. David Crisafulli MP, Member for Moggill Dr Christian Rowan MP, and Councillor for Pullenvale Ward Mr Greg Adermann down to support the club on this historic occasion.

Bring the whole family along for a fantastic day celebrating 150 years of cricket in Brookfield. Can't wait to see you there!

Are you looking to join a fantastic local cricket club that bats above its average and has a rich social and community culture? Then Brookfield United is for you!
Cricket has been played at the Brookfield Showgrounds, the beautiful home of Brookfield United, for over 150 years and we’re super excited for the 2026/27 season. We’re currently recruiting for our Senior Men’s team, as well as our newly established Over 40s side! Our Seniors play two-day matches on Saturdays from September-March, with our Over 40s playing one-day matches every second Sunday.
If you’re still enjoying your cricket, wanting to get back into it, or even just new to the area and looking for a great bunch of mates to have a post-match beer with win or lose, then please don’t hesitate to reach out via the comments or [email protected].
