What a fantastic afternoon celebrating another successful season with our Logan Vikings family at the Coorparoo Bowls Club.

A huge thank you to the club, our swimmers, families, coaches, volunteers, committee members and supporters who helped make the 2025/26 season such a success.

Special thanks to Lane 4 Co for providing apparel for our major award winners, and to Cherie Flowers for her ongoing work managing our club website.

The hard work is done, and it’s time to race!

This week, Charlotte Hansen, Lucas Humeniuk, Caio Gallo, and Mackenzie Parker will be competing at the 2026 Australian Swimming Trials, aiming for selection on Australia’s Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacific Championships teams.

Months of training, dedication, and commitment have led to this moment. We’re proud to support them as they take on Australia’s best.

Congratulations to our 2026 Logan Vikings National Team 🖤 💛
What an incredible Nationals campaign it has been, with our largest ever team representing Logan Vikings on the Gold Coast: 16 swimmers, made up of 10 Open and 6 Age Group athletes competing across 2 huge weeks of racing.
We are so proud of every swimmer who represented the club. The hard work, early mornings, and commitment throughout the season showed on the national stage, and the results speak for themselves.
Some standout performances included:
💥 Maya Bearman placing 3rd in the 17 Years 400m IM (5:01.76)
🔥 Charlotte Hansen making the Open B Final in the Women’s 100m Breaststroke, finishing 15th overall in 1:11.90, and qualifying 11th in the Women’s 50m Breaststroke (32.77)
⚡ Jackson Abeya making the Open B Final in the Men’s 200m Breaststroke and finishing 13th overall in 2:17.38
🥉 Caio Gallo claiming 3rd place in the Men’s 200m Butterfly and Lucas Humeniuk finishing 6th - a huge result for both swimmers
💪 Jack Hood finishing 9th in the Boys 18 Years 100m Breaststroke (1:06.78) and 11th in the 200m Breaststroke (2:28.20)
👏 Louis Byun finishing 8th in both the Boys 13 Years 100m Butterfly and 200m Butterfly - a fantastic Age Nationals campaign
Strong performances also came from Abigail Reynolds, Kate Edwards, and the entire team across both Open and Age Nationals, showing the strength and depth of our program.

Big congratulations to our incredible Logan Vikings team that competed at the Australian Short Course Championships!

We had some amazing results from our swimmers – all their hard work has really paid off 💪

Huge shoutout to Caio and Lucas for going 1st and 2nd in the 200m Butterfly – what a moment for the Vikings to go 1-2 on the podium! 🥇🥈
Lucas also powered through to grab Bronze in the 100m fly and also Silver in the 100m Backstroke. What a champion 🔥🔥🔥
Caio also taking out bronze in the 200m Breaststroke. What an amazing achievement .

Jackson takes out 1st place in the 100m Breaststroke AND smashes a new PB! What a swim, what a champion! 💪💥
