Central Coast SUP Club Inc. Our aim is to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our members and the SUP community

Standup Paddleboarding (SUP) is an incredibly versatile sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels. It is a great way to exercise, explore waterways and stay connected to nature. It can also be a fast and exciting sport as SUP surfers take on the waves across our beaches. Some of the biggest benefits of SUP include the fact that it is a relatively easy sport to learn, it is

safe for beginners and has a low impact on the environment. Visit any of our 41 beaches across our 90 km of coastline or any of our vast waterways from Brisbane Water to Lake Macquarie and you will find Standup Paddleboard riders enjoying themselves everywhere. The Central Coast SUP Club (CCSUPC) is the only registered association of its kind on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Started in 2023 with the aim of becoming a respected, community-minded, socially conscious not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving members across the Central Coast region by bringing community together, providing an inclusive, friendly, and positive social aspect, holding events like no other on the Central Coast both competitive and fun all while promoting healthy lifestyle and improving people’s lives. In addition to providing traditional surfing association-related events and activities, the Central Coast SUP Club has plans to get involved in community work such as beach cleanups and dune regeneration as well as conduct programs for indigenous groups, as well as disability and disadvantaged groups. To be able to provide an association such as this requires a financially strong, well-resourced and growing club. There is an ongoing requirement to purchase, maintain and replace equipment as well as hosting competitive and social events for the benefit of club members.

The club had a team of 8 CCSUPC riders compete in the Scotts Head Paddle Games last week for another incredible 4-day event of surfing, distance racing, and socialising.

Another great event held by the Newcastle Stand Up Paddle Club who need to be recognised and congratulated for their efforts in prep and ex*****on – simply first class. Thanks for the use of the photos as well...

The team surfed strongly and we were well represented with 5 semi-finalists and 3 finalists in the surfing.

Chris Beaumont – semi-finalist 50-59 Under 10ft going through to the finals gaining 4th place.

Craig Caldwell semi-finalist 60-69 10ft Plus.

Paul Haile semi-finalist 60-69 10ft Plus.

Luke Fielding semi-finalist 40-49 10ft Plus going through to the finals gaining 3rd place.

Jon Simpson semi-finalist 60-69 under 10ft & 10ft Plus – going through to the 10ft Plus finals gaining 4th place.

In the racing Chris Beaumont continued to have all the fun gaining 2nd place in the 50-59 BOP and 2nd place in the 49-60 9K event.

Andrew Blackwell scoring 3rd in the 3K to round out the efforts in the water.

On the dance floor Paul Haile took out first prize with his harem in tow.
On the mic Andrew Blackwell thoroughly entertained us all during the surfing events.
Well done to all our competitors and thanks to our support crew, you’ve all done your club proud.
