The Sparks is a partnership between the University of Technology Sydney and the St George District Netball Association with a vision of providing elite netballers with the best sporting and educational opportunities available. • The Sparks netball program is based out of the UTS Ross Milbourne Sports Hall which is a $12.5 million facility located in the city and provides all players and coaches with the highest quality netball court, private gym facilities, a tutorial room for coaching and player development sessions and a private multi-purpose studio
• Some of the best quality coaches in Australia led by NSW Waratahs Assistant Coach and NSW U/17’s Head Coach Moira Gaha
• Extensive benefits and services provided by the club to all squad members in the form of a strength and conditioning coach, team physiotherapist and nutrition seminars
• University course and enrolment information as well as career and education advice available to all squad members via expert UTS staff
• Access to the UTS Elite Athlete Scholarship Program which is available to all squad members that are UTS students. Depending on sport specific criteria scholarships of up to $5000 in value per year are awarded to athletes within this program.
• No registration fees, or week to week costs for players to participate in our program
