Nutrition Tip Monday with Total Strength;

: Start your day with a balanced breakfast! Consuming a blend of proteins, healthy fats, and fiber in your morning meal can help regulate your blood sugar levels and keep you satisfied until your next meal.

Trainer Tip Tuesdays: Handstand Pushups.

Handstand push-ups are an advanced bodyweight exercise that primarily targets the shoulders, triceps, and upper back muscles. Performing this exercise requires strength and coordination.
Benefits:

Shoulder Development: Handstand push-ups place a significant load on the shoulders, helping to develop strength, stability, and muscle mass in the deltoids.
Triceps Activation: The triceps are heavily involved in the pushing motion during handstand push-ups, contributing to their development.
Upper Back Engagement: To stabilize your body during the exercise, your upper back muscles, including the traps and rhomboids, are activated, promoting a strong and well-defined upper back.
Core Strength: Maintaining a straight body position requires strong core engagement to prevent overarching or sagging, thus improving overall core strength.
Improved Balance and Coordination: Mastering the handstand position and executing push-ups from that position enhances your balance and coordination.
Functional Strength: Handstand push-ups simulate pushing movements in an inverted position, which can be beneficial for overall functional strength and athleticism.
Hand Positioning: Place your hands shoulder-width apart on the ground with fingers pointing forward.
Kick Up to Handstand: Start by kicking up into a handstand against a wall or freestanding. Ensure your body is in a straight line with your wrists, shoulders, hips, and feet stacked.
Head Position: Keep your head neutral and in line with your spine to maintain a straight body position.
Elbow Bend: Lower your body by bending your elbows until your head almost touches the ground. Your elbows should point back, not flare out to the sides.
Full Range of Motion: Aim to achieve a full range of motion by lowering your head as close to the ground as possible and then pressing back up to the starting position.
