Not going to bore people with the last round details. Car didn't want to behave, and I was sick, so couldn't give it my all. Still managed to finish 10th for the weekend, so I'll take it.

But, here at P'N'H Racing HQ, we do some mechanical work for friends.
Recently, a Hyundai Getz was brought to my attention, that only had 1st and reverse. Now, I got taken to look at this car, and said not to buy it.
Anyway, it got bought, and driven home in 1st gear.😯 After swapping the gearbox, clutch, rear main, axle seals, its all fixed.
Out of curiosity, I pulled the old box apart. Holy s**t! I've never seen a gearbox this bad! I think every her is either missing teeth, or at least has chunks taken out. About the only things that might be salvaged, are the diff center, and the 1-2 shift fork!

Rd 5 this weekend. Bit of a struggle from the get go.
A lot of much faster cars, and bigger budgets in my category.
Wet practice day, only had one dry session. I hate wet racing.

Saturday saw qualifying happen on a wet track, due to overnight rain. Good friend Adrian had a massive shunt into the wall, writing off their brand new car. Thankfully Jake let him use his car for the remainder of the weekend. The wet meant I was guaranteed to qualify down the back.

Race one was nice and dry, thankfully. I was having a great battle with Dave Zollo until my clutch slave decided to fail, leaving me unable to change gears.
Race 2 on Sunday morning was once again dry, but lost any sort of pace due to a wheel bearing failure. Limped the car home to finish 14th
Race 3 was a fantastic race, trading places all race with Adrian Gallyer, but lost out on the last lap, once again finishing 14th, but only by 0.4 sec. So annoying!

5th? How? I mean, I'll take it!

Not the most successful weekend of racing. Broken exhaust in practice meant I had to use a standard front pipe, or go home. Was just outside the masters top 10 all weekend though, and once everything was settled, ended up 10th overall for the weekend.

Mallala in a few weeks, hopefully I can find the form I had at the supertrucks weekend.

I'm well pleased with this.

Sad to hear about the passing of Eddie Jordan.
Back in my high school days in the late 90s, the bright yellow B&H cars were right up there in my list of favourites. Looking in from the outside, as a teenager, I thought they were having so much fun, both on and off the track. From pretty girls, to rock and roll, and coming close to the 1998 drivers championship.
I always enjoyed Eddies take on things, and they way he called it as he saw it.
RIP Eddie, you were a character.

Some very sad news to bring you.

Former Formula 1 team owner and television pundit Eddie Jordan has passed away at the age of 76.

He had been battling prostate cancer for the past 12 months.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

This weekend, Rd 2 at Shell V Power Motorsport Park in Tailem Bend.
After Rd1 which started with issues, got better, but kind of went off the rails a bit, looking for a bit of redemption this round.

Last weekend saw the first round of the 2025 Circuit Excel calendar.
After having issues across friday practice, which I narrowed down to a dodgy knock sensor, I finally got a clean session in.
Saturday brought qualifying, and three races. Looking at the entry list, I knew my little wrecker engine was going to leave me lacking in the horsepower department. As expected, I qualified at the back.
Race one, however, brought a sixth place finish! My best result ever! Only to be disqualified for too much camber on the front wheels. Bu**er. Oh well, s**t happens.
Race two, I had a blinder of a start, making up a few places. I defended as hard as I could, and managed to keep Adrian from Grunter Racing behind me for a few laps. Luckily for me, a couple of cars in front had a coming together, resulting in a safety car finish. Once penalties were applied to others, I ended up with fifth! I'll take it!
Race three was under lights. Once again, a ripper start, to go through T1 and T2 in fourth. Unfortunately, I had a wheel bearing let go, binding up a front brake. I was already facing a horsepower deficit this weekend, I tried to defend, but the straight was just too long. Ended up deciding that ragging on the car wasn't going to do me any good, backed off, and finished tenth, simply to secure some points.

Four weeks to go until round 2 at Tailem Bend. Looking forward to it already!
