I would like to congratulate the rowers who continued the proud tradition of Tweed Rowers competing at the Qld State Titles on the weekend.
we have competed at nearly every State titles since 1946 that's nearly 80 years.
it was one of the motivational things that encouraged me to start coaching in 2000. Because in 1999 we had no rowers compete at state champs.
Ashlee MacKinder and Sierra Gaskell competed in the U16 single and double sculls. Ashlee made final in scull and was very competitive even though she can still compete in U 16 next year.
Ruby Rhodes and Lily Foggo stepped up into the U19 competition and competed bravely in the single and double sculls and also the pair.
conditions were good but very hot. As Dave Houston our BRO representative will confirm.
in 2 weeks I will be taking a slightly larger contingent to the NSW Champs at the Sydney International Rowing Centre at Penrith.
Sierra Gaskell, Olivia Dunphy, Ashlee MacKinder and Ayla Drury in U16 girls quad, double and scull.
mathew Jasperse and Marcus Fox in u16 boys rouble and scull.
Ruby Rhodes and Lily Foggo in U 19 double and single.
I would like to thank all the rowers and their parents for helping Tweed Rowers continue our long and proud tradition of representing the Tweed Heads & Coolangatta Rowing Club

WOW! And again... we are so super proud of our Junior rowers and their efforts at their very first State Champs! These legends have put all the hard work into their training and reaped the rewards here this weekend! Congrats to the entire team, head coach Garry and assistant coach Amy on a brilliant meet. What a team 👏 🙌 😍

Its been an absolute cracker of a day for Tweed rowers at the QLD state champs today! Congrats to these athletes and we look forward to seeing how they go in the finals 👏 🙌

Weekend wonders, Ruby & Lilly both took part in the 2021 South QLD schools regatta. Well done to Ruby who got a Silver in the Final of the yr 8 Single skull! A BIG happy birthday to our Lilly too 🎂🥳🎉🎈🎁🎊. Super proud of both Ruby and Lilly - well done ladies 😉
