I know it is short notice but i have been informed that Condong Bowls Club are in need of people to help clean up the club due to the flood damage iI am after anybody interested who can be at Condong at approx 10.30 sunday morning for 3-4 hours with a bucket,broom ,shovel,rags and cleaning products and safety gloves ,if you can text me or ring me on 0427776055. I have just received a text from Owen Kenny ,Tweed Valley Shield has now officially been cancelled for 2022 ,due to the situation at many clubs with club members affected by the flooding ,we hope that everybody is safe and dry and we will see you when the sun is shining ! Regards ,Norm Pritchard

I am at the bowls club at the moment talking to Willo and he has not made a decision on playing pairs tomorrow . he is waiting to see what rain we get this afternoon and the forecast for saturday, i know this is awkward but at the moment nothing is predictable. I am hoping everyone is dry and safe and haven,t suffered any damage or loss.The club is closed today due to staff not being able to get to work,the club hasn,t suffered any damage , and may open tomorrow but the greens will be closed until at least saturday ,Willo tells me it is all subject to further rain forecast later in the week ,any further information required you can ring me on 0427776055,regards Norm Pritchard.

To all the bowls club members i pass on the the sad news of the passing of Kevin Davis member no 144 on Friday 18 th February,Kevin bowled at the club for many years ,our condolences go out to the family .At this stage there will not be a funeral,there will be a cremation and the possibility of a memorial service at a later date .r.i.p. Kevin.

To all our members and bowlers at Sth Tweed as a result of our special general meeting on Saturday the 12 th February the vote in the affirmative by the members present 66 votes to 6 to move to the N.S.W. pennant and bowls N.S.W. competition,Unfortunately times change and personel change and decisions had to be made ,the club is united in our decision to make the move and we look forward to playing and competing in N.S.W.,no doubt a lot of us have fond and even great memories playing Q7,s ,Pennant ETC,we thank , Bowls Qld ,Gold Coast Tweed Bowls for your years supporting all clubs ,especially ours ,and no doubt we will miss the competition ,but this is the path the members have chosen to go down ,Regards Norm Pritchard

Due to covid in the community the Sth Tweed Sports Club ,will not be open till 11 am daily ,the dining area apparently will not be open Sunday and Mondays until further notice . Bowlers on Tuesday and Wednesday will now enter via the Eastern end of the Club .On saturday they have the option of entering the club via the Eastern end of the building ,or via the main entrance after 11am , remembering we all must still sign in . To all our bowlers at Sth Tweed our final day of bowls for 2021 saturday the 18th ,12.30 start ,contact me if you want to play in our pairs competition asap. A BBQ will be available after the game so we can have an ale and say good bye to 2021. Regards Norm Pritchard
