ABOUT ME 🤍

If you don’t know me already, my name is Holly and I’m a personal trainer at Fitness Cartel Tweed Heads. I love helping others in achieving their goals, gaining self-confidence and providing knowledge around fitness and nutrition. So people can love the body they live in and exercise effectively and safely according to their goals.

I am also currently studying to become a Registered Nurse at university.

I love food! so developing a healthy relationship without unhealthy restriction while achieving my own personal fitness goals was so important.

I wanted to become a personal trainer because when I was young I had a larger frame compared most girls and went through unhealthy fads with food and that effected my self confidence and had no idea what exercise to do to help myself get where I wanted to be. And I just wish I had someone their who could have guided me.

So now I can be that person to help people who feel lost, anxious, self conscious about the gym or fitness overall.

CARBOHYDRATES
First of all carbs don’t make you fat , eating more calories overall than you burn will cause weight gain.

Your body breaks down carbohydrates into glucose. Glucose, or blood sugar, is the main source of energy for your body's cells, tissues, and organs. Glucose can be used immediately or stored in the liver and muscles for later use.

So in regards to training carbs fuel your work out.

The carb sources shown above are complex e.g. sweet potato, while grain pasta and bread, brown rice beans and are more nutritious options compared to simple carbs e.g. soda, baked goods, fruit juice, lollies, white rice.

(These calorie measurements are general and can differ between brands)
