Funeral Service for Pat King

Friday 6th March

Sacred Heart Catholic Church

At the conclusion of the service, there will be a Guard of Honour as Pat leaves the church.

All past and present players, coaches, committee members, volunteers and supporters of the Tungamah Football Netball Club are invited to take part in the Guard of Honour.
To stand together in tribute and honour everything Pat has done for our club as she makes her final farewell.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Patricia King, a remarkable and dedicated contributor to the Tungamah Football Netball Club.

Pat was an outstanding player and leader, achieving the incredible milestone of three A Grade premierships in 1969 (as Captain), 1970, and 1971. Her leadership extended beyond the court, serving as Joint President in 1967 and President in 1968 of the Tungamah Netball Club. Pat also played over 200 games with the club a true testament to her commitment, loyalty, and love for the game.

Her legacy continues through her children, Delvene, Adam and Sharni, who all proudly represented the club.

Pat’s impact on the club and community will be remembered for generations. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Assistant Trainer Wanted for 2026

We are seeking an Assistant Trainer for the upcoming 2026 season.
This is a great opportunity to gain a recognised qualification, with the club happy to pay for the course for the right person.

Level 1 Sports Trainer Course

Delivered by Valley Sport in partnership with the Picola & District Football Netball League.

📅 Sunday 22nd February
⏰ From 8:50am
📍 Katunga Football Netball Club

Course details:
• Approx. 4 hours online theory (to be completed prior)
• 4 hours face-to-face practical & assessment
• Cost: $485 (+ fees) – paid by the club for the right applicant

🍔Canteen Manager Wanted for 2026🍔

The Tungamah Football Netball Club is currently seeking a Canteen Manager for the 2026 season.

This is a paid position and plays a vital role in keeping our club running on game days and training nights.

What the role involves:
• Running Thursday night dinners
• Managing the canteen at Saturday home games

The role can be done as one position or shared/split between two people, so we’re flexible and happy to work with the right applicants.

We encourage players, supporters, parents, and community members to attend and get involved, there are lots of ways to help support our great club.
