Today marks the final day of Tumut Toyworld, and my heart is honestly overflowing with gratitude and emotion. ❤️
To every single person who walked through our doors over the years — thank you. Thank you for choosing to shop local, for supporting our little store, and for allowing us to be part of your lives, your families, your birthdays, Christmas mornings, and special memories.
The kindness shown to us these past few weeks has been overwhelming. The flowers, gifts, beautiful messages, hugs, and tears have meant more than I could ever put into words. We truly have the most amazing community.
What started as a toy shop became so much more. We didn’t just gain loyal customers — we gained friendships. Friendships with so many wonderful people in our community, and with our incredible shop neighbours who have shared this journey alongside us.
I also want to say a very special thank you to every staff member who worked beside me over the years. Through all the highs and lows, the busy Christmas rushes, the hard days, the laughs, the stress, and the unforgettable moments — thank you for being part of the Tumut Toyworld family. Each and every one of you helped shape the store into what it became, and I will always be grateful for your loyalty, support, friendship, and hard work.
And lastly I’d like to thank my husband and family for having my back, helping me with the hard decisions, lending a hand when I needed it and standing right beside me through this journey.
As we close the doors for the last time today, there are so many emotions being felt — sadness, pride, gratitude, and love. While this chapter is ending, the memories and connections made here will stay with me forever.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting Tumut Toyworld for all these years. It has been an absolute privilege to serve this beautiful community.
