🏆 MEN'S WINTER CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 — FINAL WRAP-UP
And that's a wrap on another three weeks of Winter Club Championship golf at Tumby Bay!
After two weeks of some great golf and plenty of movement on the leaderboards, the final championship round brought a completely different challenge. Week 3 was played in fairly blustery conditions, with the wind making club selection interesting and ensuring there were a few shots that looked great when they left the club… before the wind had other ideas! 🌬️🏌️
Despite the conditions, the championship contenders dug deep and the final results were decided over three hard-fought rounds.
🏆 A Grade
M. Hind proved too strong across the three weeks, claiming the A Grade Championship with a total of 220, with J. Hind finishing as runner-up on 227.
🏆 B Grade
P. Swaffer took out the B Grade Championship, finishing with a three-round total of 242. W. Nankivell was runner-up on 254, completing a strong championship campaign.
🏆 C Grade
In C Grade, D. Shields claimed the championship with a total of 269, with R. Powell finishing runner-up on 274 after a competitive three weeks.
A huge congratulations goes out to all our 2026 Club Champions and runners-up, but also to everyone who had a crack at the titles over the three weeks. Championship golf can be a different beast especially when the wind gets up, the pressure builds and suddenly that three-foot putt looks like it's being taken from another postcode.
The course has looked fantastic throughout the championships, and it has been great to see plenty of members getting involved and enjoying the competition over the three weeks.
Again well done to everyone who participated, congratulations to our champions, and thanks to everyone involved in making another successful Tumby Bay Golf Club Winter Championship!

🏆 MEN’S WINTER CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP – WEEK 2 RECAP 🏆
That’s Week 2 done and dusted, and with one final championship round to go, all three grades are still very much up for grabs!
The leaderboards might look settled at first glance, but don’t be fooled with the Top 3 spots by no means secured. It only takes someone to have a shocker next week (which we are all capable of), another decides to remember how to play golf, and suddenly the leaderboard could look completely different. 😂
The weather was absolutely magnificent for Week 2 but unfortunately, someone forgot to tell the scorecards to follow suit! There were a few rounds that certainly didn't reflect the conditions… although we're sure everyone will blame the scrapes, the wind, the clubs, a bad bounce, or possibly the bloke they played with. 🤣
Heading into the FINAL CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND, the pressure is well and truly on. Every shot counts, and there’s plenty of opportunity for someone to make a late charge. Expect nerves, heroic comebacks, questionable club selections and at least a few “I only needed a par on that hole” stories afterwards.
The course itself is looking absolutely picturesque heading into the final round. A huge thank you to everyone who has put in the hard yards behind the scenes to get the course looking this good, the work certainly hasn't gone unnoticed. 👏
So, bring your A-game next week… because the trophies are still anyone’s! 🏆
