After an unsuccessful run in my Gi weight division, coming away with bronze, I went to war in a stacked Absolute division.

The level was unbelievable, with some seriously skilled opponents. I managed to work my way through to the final, where I lost to the Brazilian world champion. Well done, brother — you were the better man today, and it was class to see you receive your black belt on the podium 🙏

A massive thank you to my fusionfightandfitnesstully family for all the support and for pushing me every single day. I’m incredibly proud to represent Tully on the world stage 🙌

A massive achievement for Coach Jonathan, who has just won the SJJIF World Championship in No-Gi! 🏆

After a few tough matches against high-level competition, Jonathan fought his way through the division and came away with the World Championship gold medal.

A huge moment and the result of countless hours of training, sacrifice, discipline and commitment both on and off the mats.

Proud to represent Fusion Fight & Fitness Tully on the world stage and bring a World Championship title back home to Far North Queensland. 🇦🇺

We’re excited to announce that Faycal Barhoumi will be joining the Fusion Tully team next month and taking over our Muay Thai classes while he is here with us!

Faycal brings an incredible level of experience to Tully:

🥋 Exciting News for Our Junior BJJ Classes!

As our kids’ classes continue to grow, we’ve decided to separate the age groups so every child receives age-appropriate coaching, attention and support.

Coach Marty will now lead a dedicated BJJ class for children aged 4–7, while our 8–15-year-old class will continue separately.

Marty brings many years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience to the mats. He has competed at a high level across Australia and has had the opportunity to learn and train with some of the best in the sport. His knowledge, experience and ability to connect with young students make him the perfect coach to guide our little ones as they build confidence, coordination, discipline and strong BJJ foundations.

The timetable remains exactly the same, with both classes running at the same time. This keeps things convenient for parents who have children in different age groups.

We’re excited to see our young martial artists continue to learn, grow and have fun on the mats! 💪🥋
