Iconic insurance specialist Shannons is the new naming rights partner for the Australian Superbike Championship, extending its already significant commitment to local motorsport competition into the nation’s premier motorcycle circuit racing arena.

Shannons will not only be a huge presence in terms of sponsorship and brand recognition but will also be in attendance at all six rounds of the 2027 season with exciting fan activations.

The 2027 Shannons Australian Superbike Championship presented by Pirelli will officially commence alongside the 2026 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island from October 23-25.

There’s a massive off-track schedule planned for the final Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, and the stars of the show will be a big part of it as the all-new summer championship begins.

There will be ASBK autograph sessions from 1:00-1:30pm on Friday, 1:30-2:00pm on Saturday and 10:15-10:45am on Sunday, all in the Australian Superbikes paddock: https://shorturl.at/5hJnu

It’s a late entry bonanza for round one of the 2027 Championship at Phillip Island!

Not only have Ducati trio Cru Halliday Racing, Glenn Allerton Racing and Josh Newman Racing committed, but great to see former Australian Supersport champion and multiple Superbike winner Broc Pearson's Race Page making a return to competition on a Honda.

We all saw how fast Jacob Roulstone was on a Honda at Phillip Island earlier this year, so once Broc shakes off a bit of practice and qualifying rust he could be a real dark horse in the three Superbike races!

Preparations are ramping up for the 2027 opener alongside the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island from October 23-25.

Last week, a brace of round one aspirants cut laps at Phillip Island, including five-time champion Josh Waters after his shock switch to DesmoSport Ducati, as well as Jack Favelle, John Lytras, Marcus Hamod, ASBK rookie Jayden Martin, John Quinn and Brendan Wilson.

Kiwis Luca Durning and Morgan McLaren-Wood also circulated, as the start of the highly anticipated ASBK summer calendar draws closer.

LESS THAN 25 DAYS TO GO! Round 1 of the 2027 ASBK - Australian Superbikes Summer Championship is almost here!

History will be made at the country's most iconic track from October 23–25 as ASBK shares the stage with the final ever Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix to be held at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit.

Last time out at the Island, Harrison Voight Racing #29 took the round win ahead of Jacob Roulstone #12, Cameron Dunker Racing and then-defending 2025 champ Joshua Waters Fan Page. Now Voight returns as defending champ, and silly season has brought plenty of changes and new additions to the SW-MOTECH Superbike grid, so the pecking order is far from settled. The stage is set for an incredible season opener. New rides, fresh rivalries, and maximum track action. You won't want to miss a single lap.

ASBK - Australian Superbikes is excited to confirm Yamaha Motor Australia will continue its Yamaha Blu Cru R3 Cup sponsorship for the inaugural 2027 ASBK Summer Championship.

The BLU CRU R3 Cup will feature across four ASBK rounds:
📍 One Raceway – December 4-6, 2026
📍 Queensland Raceway – January 15-17, 2027
📍 Phillip Island WorldSBK – February 19-21, 2027

Congratulations to Archie McDonald Racing on his Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup Championship victory!

History made 🏆 Archie McDonald Racing is the inaugural FIM Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup champion.

From his start as a rider in the 2019 Oceania Junior Cup through the ranks of ASBK - Australian Superbikes and European road racing, the 20-year-old from Jindera sealed the World Title at Austria's Red Bull Ring and dedicated the achievement to his late brother, Toby.

Congratulations from the entire team at Motorcycling Australia, Archie — a remarkable moment for you, your family, Joe Rascal Racing and Australian motorcycle racing.
