Today we remember a valued supporter of our club, whose boys proudly wore the Seahawks jersey. His passion for the game, unwavering support, and dedication to his family and our football community will never be forgotten.
Rest easy Chris, Your presence will be deeply missed.
💚 VALE CHRIS KELLY 🤍
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our Supporters Association General Manager, Chris Kelly, who tragically passed away today as a result of injuries sustained in an accident on Sunday.
For the past 13 years, Chris has been much more than a General Manager. He was a leader, mentor, colleague and friend to so many within the Currumbin Beach Vikings family. His dedication and commitment has helped shape our Club into the thriving organisation and community hub it is today.
Chris deeply influenced our staff, supported our volunteers, championed our Supporters Association and created opportunities for our community to connect, grow and succeed. His impact extended far beyond the walls of our Club and touched the lives of countless people.
One of Chris's proudest legacies will be the Currumbin Beach Vikings Sports Lunch. What began as a fundraising initiative evolved into one of the Club's signature events, bringing together mates, supporters, sponsors and community members to showcase the wonderful place we are lucky enough to call home.
Today, our thoughts are not on Chris's achievements alone, but on the person behind them. A devoted father, partner, friend and leader, Chris was respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
On behalf of our staff, boards, members, volunteers and the wider Vikings community, we extend our deepest condolences to Chris's family and loved ones.
We respectfully ask that their privacy be honoured as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
Chris, thank you for your leadership, your friendship, your passion and your unwavering belief in our Club and community.
Your legacy will continue to live on through the people you inspired, the opportunities you created and the Club you helped build.
You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Rest peacefully, Chris.
