Elaine was very overwhelmed with all the best wishes. And she loved the sign down on the back of the 7th tee with the beautiful magnolias that have been so well looked after by the wonderful garden volunteers

Trentham Falls Plate – Proudly Sponsored by Drummond Golf Niddrie

We began the day with another fantastic session with Torie, who shared some helpful tips and tricks for playing around the course.

The weather gods were kind to us and, although it was cool, conditions made for a very pleasant day of golf. We welcomed players from 16 clubs, all vying for the Trentham Falls Plate, which can only be won by a visiting team.

THURSDAY MIXED MONTHLY MEDAL WRAP-UP ⛳️🌴

Well, Trentham turned on positively "tropicool" conditions for Thursday’s Mixed Monthly Medal — complete with a little sub-sub-sub equatorial mist and drizzle just to maintain our reputation for four seasons in one round! 😂

48 players took to the course, and there was some very tidy golf despite the "tropicool" damp.

⛳️ LOCAL RULES UPDATE – SIZE DOES MATTER! 😄

A quick heads-up to all Trentham golfers — there’s been a small but important change to our Local Rules.

Preferred lies are now ONE CARD LENGTH in the general area.
That’s CARD length, folks… not CLUB length! 😂

So before anyone starts reaching enthusiastically for the driver to measure out their preferred lie, put it back in the bag and grab the scorecard instead.

All other Local Rules remain unchanged.

Please help spread the word — particularly to that playing partner who somehow manages to turn “preferred lie” into “preferred postcode”. 😉

Golf doesn’t get much better than today. The course is looking magnificent!
We played our monthly medal today which was won by Rosemary Kelly with 69 and also winner of B Grade, Julie Hanson was runner up in B Grade with 73.
A grade was won by Lisa Caines with 71 and runner up was Sue Howard with 72
NTP Sue on 2nd, Julie on the 13th, Andrea Krelle on the 15th and Lisa won the kookaburra
We are all looking forward to Trentham Falls Plate on Friday

There have already been some cracking matches, a few narrow escapes and, no doubt, the occasional partner wondering why they didn’t simply take up bowls! 😂

SATURDAY 29 AUG 26 MEN’S STABLEFORD WRAP-UP ☀️⛳

Spring has sprung at Trentham! Well… at least for one weekend. 😂

58 players headed out on Saturday in absolutely glorious spring-like conditions – sunshine, blue skies and, for once, no need to dress like you’re heading on an Antarctic expedition.

And there was some pretty hot golf to match!

🏆 A GRADE
Jason King (10) – a cracking 39 points
Runner-up: Mark Fisher (9) – 38 points and finding some form again!

🏆 B GRADE
Heath Sturzaker (13) – 35 points
Runner-up: our fearless Captain Kent Newton (12) – 34 points. Leading from the front… or at least somewhere quite close to it. 😜

🏆 C GRADE & OVERALL WINNER
Ben Hocking (29) – 39 points, sneaking past Jason on a countback to claim the day!
Runner-up: Brett Bowker (19) – 37 points
