🌟 U15 GIRLS FOOTY RETURNS THIS FRIDAY NIGHT! 🌟

After the bye weekend, we're excited to welcome back our U15 Girls competition for another great night of football under lights.

The first half of the season has showcased the incredible growth, skill development, teamwork and passion of our players. Each week, the standard continues to rise, with teams building confidence, creating friendships and embracing every challenge that comes their way.

To all players taking the field this Friday night — play with confidence, back yourselves, support your teammates and enjoy every moment. Your commitment and enthusiasm continue to make this competition something special.

We look forward to seeing another fantastic night of junior football across the league as the season resumes.

TRARALGON & DISTRICT JUNIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE | VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

This month’s Volunteer of the Month recognition goes to West End Junior Football Club President, Belinda Bull.

Belinda is one of those people who quietly does whatever needs to be done for the benefit of the club and its players. Whether it is administration and organisation behind the scenes, or supporting volunteers, families and teams throughout the week, her contribution to West End is enormous.

Like many volunteers in junior sport, much of the work happens outside of game day and often goes unseen. However, the time, care and commitment Belinda gives to the club plays a huge role in creating a positive environment for everyone involved.

West End Junior Football Club is incredibly lucky to have Belinda, and this recognition is thoroughly deserved.

This weekend brings us to a well-earned bye round across the league.

We would like to wish all players selected in the Dahlsens Gippsland All Stars the very best for their matches on Monday. Enjoy the experience, represent your clubs with pride, and make the most of the opportunity.

For everyone else, take the chance to recharge the batteries, recover from the first part of the season, and spend some time with family and friends.

Congratulations to this week’s Player of the Week, Seth Wallace from West End Junior Football Club!

Seth is the definition of commitment and consistency. He turns up to every training session and every game ready to give 100%, and his dedication never goes unnoticed. His work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to always put in the effort set a great example for his teammates.

Week after week, Seth gives his best, supports those around him, and can always be relied upon to do his job for the team. His enthusiasm and determination help create a positive environment both on and off the field.

GAME DAY MOMENT – ROUND 5 🏉

A special milestone for Jett Sedgwick from the U15 Police Boy's Junior Football Club, who celebrated his 50th game in Round 5.

To make the day even more memorable, Jett kicked the first goal of the game, helping his side get off to the perfect start.

Congratulations, Jett, on reaching 50 games – a fantastic achievement and one to be proud of. We look forward to seeing many more milestones and highlights in the years ahead!

Could your young footballers be eligible for the Hawthorn Next Generation Academy?

The Hawthorn Football Club Next Generation Academy (NGA) is hosting two Come & Try Days for talented young footballers looking to develop their skills and learn more about the NGA pathway.

The NGA program provides opportunities for players from diverse cultural backgrounds and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to access high-quality football development and connect with the AFL talent pathway.

Players born in 2011, 2012 or 2013 may be eligible if they:
• Have a parent born in Asia, Africa, Central America, South America or the Pasifika nations, OR
• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

A second session will also be held at the Kennedy Community Centre on Wednesday 1 July.
