Traralgon Pistol Club was formed in the mid-1980s and has been shooting International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) matches at the old water storage basin at 60 Retreat Rd Traralgon. In all ISSF matches the pistols are held single handed. In addition to ISSF the club is also affiliated with the Victorian Amateur Pistol Association and Pistol Australia. The club facilities comprise club house,

two indoor 10 metre air pistol ranges and an outdoor 25 metre range. Due to the growth in membership, the club’s Executive has commenced the development of an outdoor 50 metre range. An additional 25 metre outdoor range is also planned to be developed in the future. The matches that are currently shot at the club include:
• 10m Air pistol
• Standard pistol
• 50m (Free) pistol
• Centrefire
• Rapid fire
• 25m sports pistol
• Classic pistol (25m)
• Blackpowder

The club is undergoing a period of growth with a large number of new shooters joining in recent months. It is a sport suited to both males and females. With parental permission, children as young as 12 years can become junior members.

As 2024 draws to a close, that also wraps up our shooting program and another successful year for the Traralgon Pistol Club with 17 new members joining during the year. A reminder to all members that the last match for the year is 10m Air Pistol on 23/12/24 and there will be no further matches until Saturday 4 January 2025. The expanded 2025 shooting calendar will be posted shortly.

The Committee of Management wish all our members and their families a happy and safe Christmas and looking forward to seeing you all back for 2025.

EVENT NOW FULL
Come & Try day being held this Saturday is now full. Traralgon Pistol Club thanks everyone for their interest. Given the overwhelming interest, we will hold another Come & Try very soon - watch this space.

AIR PISTOL RANGES REOPENING
With the most recent change to COVID-19 restrictions, we can once again open the air pistol ranges. A maximum of 10 people are allowed in the venue at one time so please be mindful of how many people are present when you arrive.

However, you must be wearing a mask while you are onsite and check-in when you arrive.

CLUB REOPENING
With the easing of restrictions from tomorrow night, the club's outdoor range is able to reopen. This means that outdoor matches will resume from this Saturday. Unfortunately, under the current restrictions indoor sport and recreation remains closed so the air pistol ranges will still be out of action until at least the next change to restrictions.

If you are attending the club you must wear a face mask and check-in on arrival with the QR code.

Other COVID safe practices must also be observed, things like sanitising your hands and wiping down surfaces after use.

Due to the lockdown extending to regional Victoria, Traralgon Pistol Club will be closed until further notice. Please do not attend the club during the lockdown period.
