I think one of the biggest lessons that comes with age is realising you don’t have to react to everything.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is simply watch.

Watch how people show up.
Watch how you feel around them.
Watch whether their words actually match their actions.

Because eventually, you stop seeing people as you hope they’ll be and start accepting them for who they’re showing you they are.

And there’s actually a lot of peace in that.

You don’t need to fall out with everyone who disappoints you. You just learn where they belong in your life.

Some stay close.
Some move further away.
Some get promoted.
Some get demoted. 😂

No bitterness required.

You’re the CEO of your life.

Place people accordingly… and protect your peace. ❤️

HOW MUCH IS YOUR HEALTH WORTH? 💜

We’ll spend money fixing the car because, obviously, we need the bloody thing to keep running.

Hair appointments, clothes, dinners out, holidays, streaming subscriptions… somehow we find room for those too. And rightly so — life is for living. 😂🥂

But mention spending money on strength training, better food, supplements, health support or coaching and suddenly we’re asking ourselves… “Do I really need that?”

Funny when you think about it.

Because you can replace the car. Cancel the subscription. Buy another dress.

You only get one body.

And I’d quite like mine to keep carrying me through airports, up stairs, along beaches, on adventures and into ridiculous crocodile photo opportunities for many years yet. 😂🐊

Looking after my health isn’t an expense I resent anymore.

It’s an investment in the life I still want to live.

Whoever came up with the 7 dwarfs clearly knew a menopausal woman. 😂

ITCHY. CRANKY. SWEATY. SLEEPY. BLOATED. FORGETFUL… and PSYCHO.

The only difference is Snow White got to whistle while she worked.

We're over here forgetting why we walked into the kitchen, ripping our jumper off mid-conversation and getting irrationally annoyed because someone is CHEWING TOO LOUDLY. 🤣

And just when you think Sleepy is in charge… PSYCHO clocks in for the afternoon shift.

Menopause really is the gift that keeps on giving. 😂💜

GEN X WOMEN ARE BUILT DIFFERENT. 😂

We grew up without Google, survived questionable fashion choices, drank from the garden hose and somehow made it home when the streetlights came on.

Now we’re wearing the Metallica T-shirt, drinking the champagne, lifting weights because we want strong bones and trying to remember where we put our bloody glasses. 😂

But somewhere amongst raising families, building careers, relationships, heartbreak, hormones and all the other s**t life threw at us… something pretty bloody great happened.

We found ourselves.

And I can finally say, “I like who I am at this age” without immediately giving you a list of everything I’d still like to change. 😂

Less people pleasing. Better boundaries. More confidence. More appreciation for my health. And far fewer f***s given about what anyone thinks.

Took me long enough to meet her. 💜

And I have a feeling her best years might still be ahead of her.
