Momentum Gym tradition: State championship qualifying gymnasts are presented with a personalised state shirt 👚 ✨ A massive special thanks goes to Kai’s Signs for designing theses and turning them around so quickly for our team!A huge good luck goes to our 11 level 4&5 gymnasts who will be travelling down to Brisbane this weekend to compete. A special mention also goes out to our 3 gymnasts Zahlia, Jade and Charli who were selected to represent North QLD in the regional team event and will be competing twice during state champs! We’re so proud of all of you!

Our tramp and tumble squad competed at Trampoline State Levels & Acrobatic State Championships last weekend in Brisbane and we are so proud!! Many people might not realise that we have both recreational and competitive tramp & tumbles squads at Momentum who participate in a number of in house events and external competitions throughout the season. Well done team - we are so proud of all the hard work you’ve invested in your sport and for representing Momentum and North QLD as part of our growing Gymsports community!

Incoming!! Highlights from our in house Spring Spirit event this past weekend. It was great to see all of the Steps classes who showcased their skills and the Levels teams who competed. AND for the first time ever we had some of our level 2 MAG boys out on the floor. Our in house competitions provide a safe space for gymnasts to get a feel for the competition format as well as giving our coaches a focussed opportunity to assess their skills. If your gymnast didn’t get a chance to compete at one of our in house events this year we highly recommend you keep an eye out for our 2027 calendar and start talking to your gymnast about working towards competing next year!

Some of our CLP girls travelled to Brisbane this weekend to attend AGC round 2 at Delta Gymnastics Kedron! Well done to all the girls who attended - it is such a valuable learning experience to travel and compete at other clubs and we’re so proud of you for representing Momentum! The recent NQ Regional Championships marks the end of the NQ competition season.

This season wasn’t just about Trophies and medals (which there were plenty). It was about courage. About showing up when things felt hard. About trusting the process, celebrating the little wins, learning from the setbacks.

Our gymnasts achieved some incredible results this season, and we couldn’t be prouder of what they accomplished. Congratulations to all and all the best to those who have qualified for State Championships in September! See links below to access all competition results. What stood out even more than results has been the character they’ve shown along the way.

They cheered louder for their teammates than for themselves. They lifted each other after disappointments. They celebrated every success - big or small - and proved that true sportsmanship is measured by how you support those around you.

At Momentum we believe our club is about so much more than perfect routines. It’s about building resilience, confidence, discipline, friendships, and a belief that every challenge is an opportunity to grow.

The ups and downs, the early mornings, the long training sessions, the nerves before stepping onto the floor, and the smiles at the end of each competition have all been part of a journey that has made every one of these athletes stronger. Our scorecard for that this season is 10/10!

Gymnasts, coaches, and families: thank you for an incredible season. The results were wonderful, but the people these young kids are becoming will always be the greatest achievement.
