🏆The season officially wrapped up last night at the Townsville Sailing Club Presentation evening where we narrowly came away with a 1st place in BOTH the Championship series and Cleveland Bay comp.🥇
A huge thanks to The Metropole Townsville for their sponsorship, fellow competitors, volunteers and all who followed along.

Looking forward to 2026 with more Catamarans joining the fleet.

With new sails, new rigging and new opponents, the Nacra Association of Australia National Titles for 2025 at Whitsunday Sailing Club was an experience we won't forget.

Thanks to the volunteers, the association and all the opponents who turned...even from SA, WA and NT

That's a wrap for the 45th Nacra Association of AustraliaNationals.
What an amazing experience.
First of all, thankyou to Dale Mitchell and the Whitsunday Sailing Clubfor a very well organised regatta.
Thankyou to Wes our PRO and the many volunteers on and off the water.
To Shade and Sail, G.J. Gardner Homes Australia, G.J. Gardner Homes Australia and Goose Marine who sponsored this event.
And to the awesome competitors, especially those that have travelled big distances. Without all of you, the event would not have happened.
Whilst we didn't end up with a podium finish, what we did come away with was:
- An amazing experience with an awesome sailing community
- So much knowledge and advice passed on from more senior sailors
- More confidence on the water

For our first National Title, we are very happy with a 7th place out of an 11 boat fleet for a couple of lads that have been sailing for 5 years, 3 of which have been on a Catamaran.

As an added bonus, we were awarded the Youth Award which we really appreciate.

We have much more to learn, but we look forward to putting what we have learnt into practice.

Last day of the Nacra Association of Australia Nationals championship regatta. There was a small delay starting the day due to light winds, but we all managed to get on the water.
Presentation night tonight.

Our best day yet! The best starts we've had which has pushed us up a position. But unfortunately after 2 races, racing had to be cancelled due to a storm brewing.
One day to go.

After 3 solid days of racing, pumping out 8 races, today was a lay day. A slower start and trip to Whitehaven Beach was a perfect way to to spend the day. Beautiful white sand, pristine waters.
